Clinical Systems Specialist, Praxis Health

Praxis Health

Is this job info correct?

We’re looking for a Clinical Systems Specialist to handle the day to day technical and operational work that keeps the technology across Praxis Health clinics running for providers and clinic staff, the EHR and the systems around it: user account provisioning, EPCS, provider schedule updates, and troubleshooting. This is hands on, execution focused work, not project management or training. The role also owns day to day coordination of the Oracle relationship as it relates to new products, system updates, and Service Request (SR) creation and management. This role is responsible for managing the operational coordination required to support the Oracle relationship, ensuring smooth, effective interaction and alignment with strategic initiatives. The role reports to the Clinical Systems Manager and coordinates with Directors of Operations and RLCMs when an issue affects a specific clinic or provider, and works closely with Operations to define and maintain clinical workflows and workflow changes driven by Oracle updates. Location & Schedule Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Location: Remote for Oregon and Washington residents only Key Responsibilities: Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts across clinical systems in line with onboarding, role change, and offboarding requests. Manage Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) enrollment, identity proofing coordination, and ongoing account maintenance for providers. Process and maintain provider schedule updates in the relevant clinical systems. Provide initial troubleshooting support for clinic staff and providers on account access, system errors, and basic system functionality; escalate issues beyond this scope to the appropriate technical owner. Serve as the day-to-day point of contact with Oracle for new products, system updates, and Service Request (SR) creation and management; escalate strategic or contractual matters to the Director of Digital Transformation. Work with Operations to define and maintain clinical workflows and workflow changes driven by Oracle system updates. Partner with the Clinical Systems Training Specialists to flag workflow and technology changes that require staff education or training, so updates are communicated and adopted smoothly. Support change management for clinical systems initiatives and ensure changes are implemented in line with relevant Praxis Health policies and procedures. Champion innovative uses of technology that advance Praxis Health's strategic goals, looking beyond day-to-day maintenance to how clinical systems can move the organization forward. Maintain accurate records of account and access changes for audit and compliance purposes. Flag recurring issues or patterns to the Clinical Systems Manager rather than solving the same problem repeatedly in isolation. Support go-live and cutover activities for the Oracle Health EHR implementation as needed, including account setup and access verification ahead of go-live. Provide provisioning, troubleshooting, and workflow support across the full clinic technology stack, including the EHR, patient registration, document management, and bolt-on vendor platforms, not the EHR alone. Support evaluation, rollout, and troubleshooting of AI-enabled clinic tools such as ambient documentation and AI scribes as they are adopted. What You Bring: Clinical background (nursing, allied health, or clinical operations) or a degree/certification in clinical informatics, health informatics, or a related field. Strong understanding of clinical workflows and how they translate into system requirements, configuration, and downstream impact on clinical staff and providers. Able to bridge clinical and technical perspectives, translating clinical needs into system changes, and system or workflow changes into plain terms for clinical staff. Comfortable with detail-heavy, process-driven work where accuracy and compliance matter. Curious and forward-looking about technology; interested in more than keeping systems running, and in finding better ways to support Praxis Health's goals. Clear, patient communication style for working directly with clinical staff and providers who may not be technical. Experience working directly with an EHR vendor on support tickets, system updates, or product rollouts. Able to troubleshoot common clinical system and access issues and know when to escalate rather than guess. Preferred Qualifications Experience with EHR or clinical system administration, including user account management and access provisioning. Familiarity with EPCS requirements and identity proofing processes. Familiarity with adjacent front-office and revenue cycle processes such as patient registration, inbound document management, and basic billing/coding concepts. Exposure to AI tools in a healthcare setting; experience with AI scribes or ambient documentation a plus. About Our Company Praxis Health is a family of medical groups providing high-quality healthcare throughout the state of Oregon. Our community-based clinics are the DNA of our business, providing better medicine, advocacy for our patients, and a satisfying and collaborative culture for our providers and staff. The Praxis family approach is dynamically different from other healthcare companies in Oregon. We are not “big box” health care, but rather a company of small groups and clinics, of nimble micro-cultures that can quickly adapt to industry changes, as well as patient needs. We have been serving communities across the beautiful and adventurous state of Oregon for over 50 years! And we are pioneers and thought leaders in the industry. Our commitment to innovative and operational excellence has allowed us to create healthcare solutions that are both cost-efficient and cutting edge. Come see how healthcare is done right! General Physical Requirements Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands for deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
