What You Will Do
As the Clinical Wellness Manager, you will support the expansion and management of mental health and wellness services for CROP's signature Ready 4 Life program. You will also serve as a liaison to CROP leadership, providing thought partnership on organization-wide trauma-informed practices, crisis response protocols, and staff training. This role blends direct clinical service with program development, supervision, and culture-building, playing an integral role in reinforcing a supportive and trauma-informed organizational structure.
Program Development and Management
Develop and implement strategies to expand CROP’s mental health services and support for Ready 4 Life program participants
Provide direct therapeutic services to 15-20 participants weekly
Develop individual treatment plans and manage the successful completion of goals, including cross-departmental collaboration and documentation
Manage participant outcome tracking, including surveys and standardized assessment tools (e.g., DERS), and program success indicators
Develop and deliver group therapy and wellness workshop curriculum focusing on trauma, healthy relationships, emotional regulation, and navigating major life changes
Draft standard operating procedures clarifying roles, responsibilities, reporting requirements, and other relevant details for mental health services at CROP
Clinical Supervision and Internship Management
Support the development and launch of an associate clinician program to recruit ASWs in the process of earning their license and accruing supervised hours
Recruit and manage 2-3 associate clinicians to provide individual therapy to Ready 4 Life program participants
Provide weekly individual supervision in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements, offering mentorship and guidance on caseload management
Manage clinician program administration, including, but not limited to, case notes, documentation, and BBS/state board compliance
Organizational Guidelines, Training, and Crisis Response
Review current staff policies and provide recommendations on integrating trauma-informed, holistic wellness practices and strategies
Support the improvement of emergency and crisis response protocols informed by best practices in direct service program delivery
Provide staff training on key components of integrated mental health programming, including HIPAA compliance, ethics, mandated reporting, data practices, and documentation
Serve as an emergency response liaison, providing individual crisis support, group processing, and consultation with program staff
Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities under California law, including timely identification and reporting of suspected child, elder, or dependent adult abuse
ROLE FOUNDATIONS
For this role, there are a few essential requirements:
Active LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license in California, in good standing
Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience and completion of the California BBS-required 15-hour clinical supervision training
Up-to-date on required continuing education units in clinical supervision
At least 5 years experience providing trauma-informed individual and/or group therapy, ideally with justice-impacted populations
Experience providing (or ready to provide) supervision to clinicians pursuing licensure
Working knowledge of HIPAA guidelines, California mandated reporting laws, and ethical considerations for running a mental health program
Ability to pass any facility-access clearance required to conduct participant-facing work at partner sites, where applicable

Trauma-informed frameworks: Understands trauma-informed principles and how to translate them into curriculum, training, and organizational policy.
Justice-impacted population needs: Familiar with the behavioral health needs and unique barriers facing formerly incarcerated individuals.
Skills
Program development: Can design and implement programs, curricula, and assessments from the ground up.
Clinical supervision: Effective supervision that supports growth and meets state board requirements.
EHR/documentation systems: Comfortable working within electronic health record or case management platforms, such as Salesforce
Abilities
Crisis response and de-escalation: Responds calmly and effectively to on-campus mental health crises, coordinating with program staff and offering both individual and group support.
Cross-departmental collaboration: Works effectively and cross-functionally to build sustainable structures, protocols, and practices.
Data-informed practice: Uses survey and assessment data to track outcomes and continuously improve program quality.

Compensation and Benefits
This full-time, exempt position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, holidays, and paid time off. The salary range for this position is $95,000-110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Schedule
40 hours per week, hybrid position allowing for remote work but requiring regular presence in our Oakland office. Hours of employment are flexible to accommodate the staff person’s schedule, as well as the schedule of our fellows; some evening work will be expected, but the general schedule will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. This role will require occasional travel to local partner sites and facilities in support of participant services in both the Bay Area and Southern California.
Supervision
This role is supervised by the Director of Reentry and will directly supervise 2-3 ASWs (or equivalent).
