Is this job info correct?

Clinical Writer, German and English (freelance) About kaiko Clinicians and nurses work under heavier pressure than ever. More patients, more data, more decisions to make. kaiko gives them back the focus, time, and headspace they need to give patients the best possible care. kaiko is a European clinical AI lab, and one of the only companies working across the full stack. Our approach spans three layers: our own frontier models, a clinical AI workspace built for complex hospital needs and workflows ranging from preparation and decision support to diagnostics and interpretation. Our product is in daily use at leading European hospitals, reducing preparation time and cognitive workload for clinical teams. The next decade of European healthcare will be shaped by AI. We're here to shape it in the best way possible. kaiko is a well-funded company with a growing international team, operating from Amsterdam and Zurich. About the role We are looking for a writer who works in German and English at the same standard. Our readers are clinical and Tech. CMIOs, oncologists, pathologists and hospital IT leads, in German and English speaking markets. Writing for them takes precision, a working grasp of clinical vocabulary, and the discipline to say only what the evidence supports. You do two things. You write kaiko's German-language material as original writing rather than translation. And you build our library of customer stories, interviewing the clinicians who use our product and writing the pieces yourself. You work directly with the Head of Marketing. This is a freelance engagement, retained, with an initial scope of six months and the intention to extend. You work remotely from the German-speaking region or the Netherlands, with occasional days in Zurich and Amsterdam. Some areas of responsibility Customer stories. You run the interviews with clinicians who use our product, write the articles, and carry them through hospital communications approval. German-language writing across our website, campaign and event material. Written for a German-speaking clinical reader rather than translated. Around half your output is English originals. Write up our roundtables, panels and webinars with hospital leaders as published articles, worth reading by people who were not in the room. Copy for conferences and partner events in German and English, from session and booth text to invitations and follow-ups. A German terminology and tone standard. Swiss and German clinical vocabulary, our register, and the words we do not use, in a document the team can hold to. About you German writing at publication quality for a clinical audience. Professional English writing, half of what you write will be English originals. Five to ten years of professional writing, at least two of them in health, medtech, pharma or hospital communications. You interview well. You get a specific, usable answer out of a clinician in a short slot, and you hear when the interesting story is not the one on your question list. You have interview-based published work to show for it. A self-starter who operates with limited direction. You set your own brief, chase your own approvals, and ship without waiting for a perfect spec. Nice to have: A clinical, hospital or diagnostics background, in any specialty. Experience working through a hospital communications department, and the habit of planning timelines around approval rather than around the interview. Experience supporting executive thought leadership or founder content. We are excited to gather a broad range of perspectives in our team, as we believe it will help us build better products to support a broader set of people. If you're excited about us but don't fit every single qualification, we still encourage you to apply: we've had incredible team members join us who didn't check every box! Why kaiko At kaiko, we believe the best ideas come from collaboration, ownership and ambition. We've built a team of international experts where your work has a direct impact. Here's what we value: Ownership: You'll have the autonomy to set your own goals, make critical decisions, and see the direct impact of your work. Collaboration: You'll have to approach disagreement with curiosity, build on common ground, and create solutions together. Ambition: You'll be surrounded by people who set high standards for themselves and others, who see obstacles as opportunities, and who are relentless in their work to create better outcomes for patients. Our interview process Our process is designed to assess mutual fit across craft, motivation and values. It typically includes the following steps: Screening call: a short conversation with the Head of Marketing on your motivation, your practice, and initial fit for the scope. Portfolio review: we want two German samples, noting which started from a German brief rather than a source text, one English sample, and one piece based on an interview you conducted. Paid exercise: more information will be provided during the interview process. Department Growth Role Marketing Locations Amsterdam, Zürich Remote status Hybrid Amsterdam Zürich
