Closet Design Quality Assurance & Training Coordinator (Remote)

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining design quality and helping others succeed? JL Closets, a 35-year leader in premium custom storage solutions, is looking for a Closet Design Quality Assurance & Training Coordinator to join our remote team. In this role, you’ll review closet designs for accuracy, uphold quality standards, coordinate design reviews, and train and support our design team to ensure every project meets our technical requirements and quality expectations.

What You’ll Do

• Review Designs for Accuracy: Inspect 3D closet designs, technical measurements, specifications, and quotes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct Quality Assurance: Verify that design submissions meet JL Closets’ technical requirements, design standards, and quality expectations before moving to production.
• Identify & Correct Errors: Detect discrepancies, recommend corrections, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved before they affect production or installation.
• Train & Support Designers: Provide technical guidance, constructive feedback, and ongoing training to improve design accuracy and consistency.
• Coordinate Quality Reviews: Track design submissions, document recurring issues, and ensure timely completion of reviews and corrections.
• Standardize Design Practices: Help maintain quality checklists, procedures, and best practices across the design team.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce errors, improve turnaround times, and strengthen the team's overall design performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Background: A degree or professional background in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Closet Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of space planning, technical drawings, measurements, and custom closet or storage layouts.
• Quality Assurance Expertise: Proven ability to identify design errors, inconsistencies, and potential technical issues before they affect production or installation.
• Training & Coaching Skills: Ability to explain technical requirements clearly, provide constructive feedback, and help designers improve their skills.
• Communication & Organization: Strong English communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate reviews and follow up on corrections.
• Technical Skills: Experience with KCD Software or similar design tools is preferred; Zoho CRM experience is a plus.
• Work Style: Analytical, proactive, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
