Job Purpose
The role is aimed at supporting the Enterprise Architecture team in turning MSC's Cloud & AI strategy into a coherent, measurable and well-governed architecture roadmap. It contributes to the design of Cloud & AI solutions and acts as a cross-stream coordination and communication hub, ensuring alignment, engagement and execution across the Cruise Division.
Key Accountabilities
• Coordinate the definition, planning and evolution of the Cloud & AI architecture roadmap, making sure initiatives stay aligned with enterprise architecture principles and the target architecture.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and communication with business, IT, delivery teams and senior leadership, so that architecture directions are clearly understood and adopted.
• Act as a cross-stream point of coordination between the Cloud and AI streams, ensuring consistency of standards, reference architectures and architectural decisions.
• Contribute to the design of Cloud & AI reference architectures, patterns and standards, supporting senior architects in defining reusable and secure solutions.
• Support the review of High-Level Designs (HLD) with delivery and product teams, assessing alignment with enterprise architecture principles, standards and the target architecture.
• Organize and facilitate architecture forums, review sessions and workshops, tracking outcomes, decisions, exceptions and follow-up actions through to closure.
• Maintain and evolve the Enterprise Architecture knowledge base (principles, standards, guidelines, reference patterns, architecture decision records), promoting an "architecture-as-code" approach and reuse.
• Contribute to Enterprise Architecture capacity, budget and CapEx/OpEx planning. This includes supporting the estimation of architecture effort for business initiatives and the monitoring of external resources.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting, presentations and materials for senior leadership, and define and monitor Enterprise Architecture KPIs.
• Support the AI ideas evaluation funnel, collecting, structuring and tracking use cases through value, feasibility and risk assessment.
• Drive the adoption of internal AI and cloud tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot) through communication plans, training and community initiatives.
• Manage the relationship with technology vendors and partners on architecture topics, including workshops, assessments and technical evaluations, contributing to technology scouting and the comparison of cloud and AI services by value, cost and risk.
• Foster knowledge-sharing across the Cloud and AI communities of practice and the wider Enterprise Architecture team.
Qualifications
• Italian and English as primary working languages.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Engineering, Business Innovation or related fields; cloud or AI certification (e.g. Azure Fundamentals, Azure AI Fundamentals or Azure Solutions Architect) will be considered a plus.
• 4+ years of experience in IT architecture, solution design, IT consulting or technology strategy roles, including coordinating cross-functional initiatives and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of cloud and AI concepts (Azure preferred, cloud-native services, integration/APIs, GenAI/LLM and RAG patterns) and enterprise architecture principles, with the ambition to grow along an architecture career path.
• Ability to read and produce architecture documentation and diagrams (e.g. HLD, solution blueprints, C4 or ArchiMate models).
• Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple streams, priorities and deadlines at the same time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex technical topics into clear executive messages, documentation and presentations.
• Analytical mindset, with familiarity with KPIs, reporting and budget/cost tracking.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and drive alignment across architects, engineers, business stakeholders, partners and vendors.
• Proactive and collaborative attitude, with a strong focus on knowledge-sharing.
• Experience facilitating meetings, workshops and decision-making forums will be considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) or modelling tools will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with Markdown/Git-based documentation or Microsoft Power Platform will be considered an advantage.
• Background in travel, hospitality or another large-scale consumer business will be considered an advantage.
