Cloud CyberTech Engineer - Cybersecurity

Location: Dallas/Irving, TX; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Jersey City, NJ; or New York City, NY
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week (candidate's choice of location)
Contract Duration: 6 months, with strong possibility of extension

About the Role

At Globant, we are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join an exciting cybersecurity initiative focused on building a Unified AI-Driven Security Operations Center (SOC).

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in cloud-native security platform engineering, including SIEM, data pipelines, data lakes, and SOAR technologies. This role involves developing a federated security platform that integrates threat intelligence, log management, incident management, and AI-powered security investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance cloud-native cybersecurity platforms and services.

• Build and integrate security data pipelines, data lakes, SIEM, and SOAR solutions.

• Support the development of a Unified AI-Driven SOC platform.

• Develop scalable solutions for security data querying, orchestration, and automation.

• Integrate threat intelligence, log management, and incident case management capabilities.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, and architecture teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

• Support the implementation of configurable AI agents for security incident and event investigations.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of directly relevant professional experience in software development and cloud-native engineering, including hands-on experience with the required technologies.

• Strong expertise in cloud-native security platform engineering.

• Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, data pipelines, and data lake technologies.

• Experience developing and integrating security platforms and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, and incident management.

• Experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based solutions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field.

• Experience in software development within the banking and capital markets industry.

• Previous experience working in cybersecurity environments.

• Familiarity with AI-driven security automation and SOC modernization initiatives.
