Cloud Engineer

Employment: Remote Contractor   Company Base: US   Company Business Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM EST   Location: PH - Permanent WFH   Workstation: Equipment Provided GENERAL DESCRIPTION As a Cloud Engineer, understanding both the engineering and architecture of the systems and the building of the systems. You understand the level of detail required to ensure systems are in place to provide consistent uptime and support for our clients escalated and most business impacting issues. Your primary duties will include triaging, review, response, design, implementation and maintenance of Microsoft cloud infrastructure solution and client environments. This includes O365, Intune, Azure AD, etc. During any given week you will be ensuring the stability of infrastructure of our clients through triaging and problem solving, building, engineering, and creating infrastructure; either from the ground up or to fit within the parameters of what a client already has. What sets aside a Senior Infrastructure Engineer is that of scope, responsibility, and knowledge. We expect those in this role to understand the end goal of a project prior to beginning. We also expect this role to identify patterns and commonalities across networks and alerts.  SPECIFIC SKILLS A minimum of at least 3 years of real-world IT experience is required. Possess a broad range of technical expertise, including but not limited to: Strong, applied knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, DNS and routing. Proficient understanding of AWS architecture, storage and networking fundamentals. Ability to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot the following AWS services: EC2 VPC Including Transit Gateway Workspaces Directory Services Minimum 1 year of real-world experience working with AWS specifically. Minimum 3 years of real-world experience with virtualization technologies as a whole (VMWare, HyperV). Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems, the registry, group policy, power shell, etc. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 SOFT SKILLS Great English Communication skills. Problem-solving skills. Time management and adherence to deadlines. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are very important. Polite, efficient, and customer-oriented attitude is essential.
