The Federal Civilian business unit supports many customers spanning the federal, commercial, and nonprofit space. Our customers include NASA, the General Services Administration, Office of Personnel Management, the Library of Congress, Health & Human Services, and the FDIC. We partner with these agencies to build new capabilities, deliver products, establish data as a strategic asset for informed decision-making, modernize legacy systems, and build the digital service infrastructure necessary to scale their mission impact.

Primary Responsibilities:

Cloud Engineer III serves as an experienced individual contributor within a team, with minimal oversight from leadership, you will be responsible for supporting our client's needs, particularly in Cloud.gov and Azure environments. A Cloud Engineer III impacts the long-term goals of the program, while contributing to the implementation of the program’s development strategy. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure tailored to meet the specific requirements of our client

  • Design and deploy robust cloud solutions using Cloud.gov and Azure to address client needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud technologies
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and availability
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud environments
  • Automate operational tasks to enhance efficiency and scalability of cloud systems
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure successful integration of cloud solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience working with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Cloud.gov, Azure etc.)
  • Demonstrates expert-level knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security measures
  • Demonstrates expert-level knowledge in infrastructure with code tools with Terraform.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to successfully complete and maintain the required federal Public Trust background investigation and suitability determination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud.gov and Azure platforms experience
    Industry certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator would be a plus
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Demonstrates expert-level knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is highly valuable in this role
  • Experience collaborating directly with clients, engineers, and other technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting government or federal programs.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role is $120,000 - $140,000.
