Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer - Hybrid - Seffner, FL
Note: this is not a remote position
Guardian Fleet Services is seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support cloud, identity, endpoint, and network technologies across the organization. This role is responsible for deploying and maintaining Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Cisco Meraki environments while ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with strong experience in cloud administration, identity management, endpoint engineering, network infrastructure, and automation. Working closely with IT leadership, this position will translate approved technical designs into production-ready solutions while supporting business growth, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining technology standards across multiple locations.
Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
Essential Responsibilities:
Cloud & Microsoft 365 Administration
- Implement, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Deploy and support Azure resources, including virtual machines, networking, storage, monitoring, and backup services.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, permissions, and service integration issues.
- Maintain system documentation, standards, and recovery procedures.
Identity & Access Management
- Implement and support Microsoft Entra ID identity solutions, including single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, and role-based access controls.
- Configure and maintain application integrations using SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth, and SCIM provisioning.
- Support automated user provisioning, onboarding, offboarding, and access management processes.
- Troubleshoot authentication, account synchronization, and application access issues.
- Collaborate with software vendors to implement and support secure integrations.
Endpoint Management & Automation
- Administer Microsoft Intune and related endpoint management technologies.
- Configure device enrollment, compliance policies, security settings, and application deployments.
- Support Windows Autopilot and standardized endpoint provisioning processes.
- Develop automation and system management solutions using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and other supported technologies.
- Create and maintain deployment procedures, operational documentation, and support resources.
Network Infrastructure & Connectivity
- Configure, maintain, and support Cisco Meraki security appliances, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
- Implement network configurations, segmentation, wireless deployments, and connectivity solutions based on approved standards.
- Monitor network performance, reliability, and security across company locations.
- Troubleshoot complex network, wireless, and connectivity issues.
- Coordinate with internet providers, contractors, and vendors to support infrastructure deployments and issue resolution.
Project Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Manage assigned infrastructure projects from planning and implementation through testing, deployment, and operational handoff.
- Translate technical requirements into implementation plans, configurations, and deployment schedules.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges while recommending practical solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Serve as an escalation resource for complex cloud, identity, endpoint, and network issues.
- Provide technical knowledge transfer and guidance to Help Desk and support personnel.
- Communicate project status, technical impacts, and recommendations to IT leadership.
Qualifications:
Required
- Five (5) or more years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune.
- Experience implementing and supporting enterprise single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, and identity management solutions.
- Experience configuring and supporting SCIM provisioning and automated user lifecycle management.
- Experience deploying and managing Cisco Meraki network and wireless infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Experience supporting enterprise wireless environments and secure authentication methods.
- Practical PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot, implement, and support complex technical solutions.
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and project management skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting infrastructure across multiple offices, branches, or operational locations.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki MX, MS, and MR platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, endpoint security, and compliance technologies.
- Experience with Kaseya solutions, including Datto and IT Glue.
- Experience with Autotask or other IT service management platforms.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Familiarity with Samsara, TOPS, Towbook, or similar transportation and fleet management applications.
- Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or other relevant technical certifications.
- Experience in the towing, transportation, logistics, or fleet services industry.
