What you will be doing:
- Manage global, hybrid infrastructure and identity platforms to ensure uptime, security, and performance.
- Implement identity security controls (Conditional Access, MFA, PIM) and drive transition from Active Directory to Entra ID.
- Provide 3rd and 4th line support for complex issues in collaboration with the Technology and Innovation team.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies and infrastructure best practices.
- Optimise and secure infrastructure while supporting continuous operational improvements.
What our client is looking for:
- Relevant IT tertiary qualifications and vendor certifications would be ideal.
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration or infrastructure management experience, ideally within the financial services industry.
- Comprehensive expertise in Microsoft Entra ID and identity management, including MFA, PIM, and Conditional Access.
- Strong proficiency in Azure (IaaS, PaaS/SaaS) and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
- In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft infrastructure stack, covering Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, and SQL.
- Experience with Office 365 tools, Microsoft Defender, and Mimecast security solutions.
- Competency in administration and Infrastructure as Code scripting using PowerShell, KQL, and Terraform.
- Solid understanding of IT fundamentals, networking basics, enterprise security concepts, RBAC, and least privilege principles.
- Proven capability in system implementation and complex 3rd and 4th line troubleshooting and support.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and personable approach with strong communication skills and readiness for out-of-hours incident response.
