Cloud Platform Engineer 3

***Remote opportunity with up to 25% travel. Position Overview The Cloud Platform Engineer 3 provides technical expertise in the planning, integration, performance, and improvement of cloud-based platforms and distributed virtual environments. Responsibilities Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for different cloud-based platforms. Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications. Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes. Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues. Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise. Develops technical solutions to complex problems. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience. Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience. Required Certifications IAT-2 certification required. One or more cloud certifications required. Clearance Requirement Active Secret clearance required.
