Job Title: Cloud Support Engineer II Work Location: 145 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142 Job Description: Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Cloud Support Engineer II Performing technical service support for global online customers. Improving processes, optimizing operations, and improving metrics, leading to industry-leading support experience. Working as a trusted support partner to resolve customer’s queries and technical issues. Owning problem resolution and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer success on the Akamai platform. Leading investigations across Akamai’s Distributed Network for optimized performance and delivery for customers. Analyzing existing technical issues across Akamai’s Distributed Networks and proposing solutions to prevent issues from recurring. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States. AG1417 #LI-DNI Required Qualification: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology Management, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. Must have: Two (2) years of experience with the following: diagnosing and troubleshooting cloud-related technical issues, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, Linux/Unix, tcpdump, and monitoring systems. Compensation Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $102128-$149800 /year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
