The fast growth of our business and services offered mean we are continually looking to expand our cloud Microsoft team. Therefore, we are looking for a passionate Cloud System Engineer! We are looking for someone with experience in Microsoft based technologies with a strong focus on Microsoft stack including Azure.

The cloud operations team is responsible for the daily operation, innovation, and project delivery of client environments provided by our Managed Cloud Solutions. Daily activities consist of managing, optimizing, and improving the solutions to meet client requirements. Currently the team is managing systems Microsoft Azure around the globe as well as in data centers in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Perform server and application administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
• Install, implement, test, and maintain Server operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Deploy server infrastructure and applications for clients as part of the project delivery and ongoing operational support.
• Ensure platform quality and integrity.
• Maintain in-depth personal up-to-date product/service knowledge by attending trainings.
• Implement new revisions of Microsoft services on customer environments.
• Resolve complex incidents and complete on-going changes.
• Maintain and verify system documentation.
• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance.
• Respond promptly to resolve issues reported through the ticketing system.
• Provide mentoring leading by example and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in the stand-by shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Windows 2012 R2 and newer server administration experience.
• 3+ years of virtualization experience (Hyper-V preferred).
• 2+ years of Azure IaaS (Infrastructure-a-a-Service) administration experience.
• Strong AD knowledge with a proficiency in GPO creation/troubleshooting.
• Microsoft SQL experience: installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of standalone or clustered systems.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills related to both technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to work in a team or individually to provide assistance, instruction and training to clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Backup, Azure Monitor and automation experience.
• Azure recovery vault experience.
• Azure Migration (using Microsoft Azure Migrate or 3rd party software)
• DevOps experience dealing with ARM templates, CI/CD pipelines and other practices, Terraform
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV, AX, GP, CRM experience.
• SQL query/scripting experience.
• Azure AD and Identity Management experience.
• SCCM administration experience.
• Veeam and System Center Data Protection Manager experience.
• Subnetting, DNS, and general network experience.
