We are looking for an experienced Cloud Team Leader to join an international environment architecting and leading cloud transformation initiatives for European institutions and stakeholders.

Based across the European Union (remote), you will lead a multidisciplinary cloud engineering team, design scalable cloud infrastructures, and drive digital transformation strategies. Working within a multicultural environment, you will collaborate with architects, infrastructure teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure enterprise-grade cloud solutions, strategic alignment, and continuous innovation.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and architects

• Design cloud infrastructure and architecture strategies using Azure and AWS platforms

• Establish cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks

• Drive cloud migration and optimization initiatives

• Manage vendor relationships and external cloud service providers

• Implement cloud CoE (Center of Excellence) practices and standards

• Monitor team performance and ensure continuous improvement

• Conduct cloud architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (EQF 7)

• 10+ years of IT professional experience

• 5+ years of Cloud CoE and cloud architecture design (Azure 4+, AWS 2+)

• 5+ years leading and managing cloud engineering teams

• 1+ year managing external vendors and cloud service providers

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (mandatory)

• Strategic thinking and excellent leadership capabilities

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• English language proficiency at C1 level or higher

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration

• Background with European Commission or EU agency projects

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience designing multi-cloud environments

• Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization
