Cloudflare Security Engineer

At IKONS Ibérica, we are looking for a Connectivity & Security Engineer | Azure & Cloudflare to join an international technology project, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable cloud connectivity and platform security.

We are seeking a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in Cloudflare, Azure Networking, AKS Security, and hybrid connectivity, capable of troubleshooting complex infrastructure environments and improving security posture.

📍 Location: Madrid

💻 Work Model: Hybrid – 40% remote

📋 Contract: Permanent

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Implement and troubleshoot Azure Private Endpoints, Private Link, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity.
• Manage Cloudflare WAF, Zero Trust Access, WARP, Tunnel, CDN, and edge security.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity across Cloudflare, Azure networking, AKS, and private services.
• Implement AKS security hardening, including RBAC, workload identity, network policies, and secure cluster operations.
• Manage firewall rules, network segmentation, and least-privilege access.
• Support vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Drive automation, infrastructure security improvements, and policy-as-code practices.

🔎 What Are We Looking For?

• 5–8 years of experience in cloud connectivity, networking, or platform security engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloudflare WAF, Rate Limiting, Bot Management, CDN, and Cache Rules.
• Experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust Access, WARP, Cloudflare Tunnel, and cloudflared.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure Networking: VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, DNS, routing, load balancing, and VPNs.
• Experience with Private Link, Private Endpoints, and hybrid connectivity.
• Hands-on expertise in AKS Security & Hardening, including Kubernetes RBAC, workload identity, network policies, and secure cluster operations.
• Experience with vulnerability management, container/image scanning, security monitoring, and remediation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

⭐ Nice to Have

• Cloudflare, Azure Networking, Azure Security, CKA, or CKS certifications.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or Defender for Containers.
• Knowledge of SIEM, DDoS protection, and security automation.
