URHired is building Tessa, an AI-powered interview coaching platform designed for neurodivergent and underserved jobseekers. We're backed by Enterprise Ireland and operate a B2B2C model with partners including UK football club foundations and community organisations. Tessa as a native mobile app (iOS and Android)

The opportunity

We're looking for a Co-Founder / CTO to take ownership of URHired's technical direction as we move from foundation build into scale. This isn't a ground-floor idea — you'd be joining a company with some funding secured, partnerships signed, a live product roadmap, and a contract developer already building and who would report to the CTO. What's missing is a technical leader ready to own architecture, build out the engineering function, and help drive the next round of investment.

What you'll own

• Technical architecture and product engineering direction for Tessa, end to end
• Build and lead the engineering function as we scale beyond a single contractor — hiring, structure, and delivery cadence
• AI/ML integration strategy (currently OpenAI-based) and roadmap for features including read-aloud, ATS checking, and adaptive coaching
• Technical due diligence and investor-facing credibility as we approach our next funding round
• Infrastructure, security, and data handling standards — particularly important given our work with vulnerable jobseekers and enterprise partners
• Close partnership with the CEO on product strategy, prioritisation, and company direction as a genuine co-founder, not a hire

What we're looking for

• Ideally previous experience as a founder or founding technical leader in a startup that raised institutional funding (seed or Series A) — you know what investors expect from the technical side of a business
• A track record of shipping and scaling real products; mobile app and/or AI-driven product experience is a strong plus
• Comfortable owning architecture decisions solo today, while planning for a team tomorrow
• Genuine alignment with the mission — building accessible, inclusive technology for underserved jobseekers
• Domain experience in EdTech, HRTech, or accessibility is a bonus, not a requirement
