Since our inception in 2015 in Denmark, Liva has been a pioneer in the field of digital behaviour change. Our ambition is to empower 1 million people by 2030 to improve their health and well-being by preventing and managing chronic conditions through digitally-powered, evidence-based lifestyle interventions.
Headquartered in Copenhagen and London, our collaborations with healthcare systems - including the NHS, life science companies and health insurers - allow us to impact lives at scale. We recently acquired Momenta, a leading developer and provider of evidence-based, outcome driven, healthy lifestyle solutions that help people negotiate the many day-to-day challenges they face in living healthier lives, with a focus on weight management.
Liva’s clinical delivery workforce is around 200 coaches - including health coaches, dietitians and clinical prescribers — delivering remote health coaching across the UK and Europe, with new programmes and partner contracts launching through the year.
This role leads how the teams are trained. The core of it is new programme training: taking a set of programme requirements, working out what coaches will need to be able to do, designing the training that gets them there, and then either delivering it yourself or bringing in the right people to deliver it. Alongside that you own the standards coaches are held to, and the link between what our quality reviews find and what we teach next.
What you'll be doing
Designing training for new programmes
Translate programme and contract requirements into what coaches must be able to do, and by when
Build the training overview for each new programme: scope, sequence, delivery method, how competence is assessed, and the timeline worked back from launch
Design the training itself — live sessions, e-learning, handbooks and reference material
Decide what you deliver yourself and what is better delivered by a clinical specialist or a programme lead, then brief them and assure the quality of what they deliver
Work with programme, partner and clinical leads early enough that training is ready before coaches are needed
Standards and quality
Own the training standards every coach is held to, including condition-specific pathways and local adaptation across countries
Turn what our quality assurance reviews find into the next quarter’s training priorities, and show what changed as a result
Build continuing professional development into how the coaching teams work, and run the CPD programme
Ongoing training and development
Design and deliver induction and new starter training for employed and freelance coaches
Co-ordinate peer support, reflective practice and journal club sessions
Resources and systems
Build and maintain training materials, handbooks and e-learning
Own the learning platform and training records, and produce your own reporting on completion and impact
You'll have
Proven experience designing training for a new programme or service from scratch: taking the requirements, building the training overview and designing the content — not only delivering training someone else designed
A recognised coaching qualification, or experience coaching in practice
Comfortable working to a launch date, with training ready before coaches are needed
Experience delivering training to a mixed professional workforce across remote and distributed teams, and willing to travel in the UK for in-person supervision, monitoring and coach shadowing
Confident with learning technology: able to own a learning platform (Google Classroom), build e-learning and produce your own training reports
Evidence of measuring whether training changed practice, not only that it was delivered
Organised and thorough in documenting your own work
Hopefully you'll also have
Clinical registration, or a healthcare background
Experience across more than one country or regulatory context
Knowledge of NHS standards and clinical governance
Experience administering a learning management system
