If you want to do the most impactful work of your career, this is where to do it. This position is a contract role with Mochi Medical, a physician-owned professional corporation affiliated with Mochi Health Corp. Mochi Health is a management service organization that supports Mochi Medical by providing administrative and operational services, but the role and clinical practice are with Mochi Medical. About The Role Mochi Medical began as a digital obesity medicine practice and has evolved into a comprehensive virtual care platform. As we grow across the country, we are seeking board-certified physicians to serve as Collaborating (Supervising) Physicians for our nurse practitioners in states that require a physician collaboration or supervision arrangement. In this role you provide the clinical oversight, chart review, and consultative support that let our advanced practice providers deliver safe, high-quality telemedicine to patients. This is primarily a collaboration and oversight role rather than a direct patient-care role, though it is grounded in the same therapeutic areas our practice serves: metabolic and obesity medicine, dermatology, hormone replacement therapy, mental health (depression and anxiety), and hair loss. Given our foundation in obesity medicine, comfort with weight management is important as this remains central to our patient population. What You’ll Do Serve as the collaborating or supervising physician of record for nurse practitioners under state-required collaborative practice agreements. Complete timely chart reviews and quality-assurance reviews of NP-managed encounters in accordance with each state’s requirements. Provide responsive clinical consultation and case discussion to NPs, serving as an escalation point for complex or high-acuity patients. Co-sign orders, prescriptions, and treatment plans where required by state law. Support oversight of obesity and metabolic health management, including GLP-1s and related treatments, as well as dermatology, HRT, depression and anxiety, and hair loss care. Participate in periodic collaboration meetings and maintain the documentation and logs required to keep agreements compliant. State Licensure We're Seeking We are prioritizing physicians who hold an active, unrestricted medical license in one or more of the restrictive-practice states below, where state law requires nurse practitioners to maintain a collaborative or supervisory relationship with a physician. Multi-state licensure is a strong plus, as our patients are located nationwide and each collaboration must be valid in the state where the patient is located at the time of care. Alabama · Arkansas · California · Florida · Indiana · Kentucky · Louisiana · Michigan · Missouri · New Jersey · North Carolina · Ohio · Oklahoma · Pennsylvania · South Carolina · Tennessee · Texas · Virginia · West Virginia · Wisconsin Who You Are MD/DO currently board certified in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Active, unrestricted medical license in one or more of the states listed above. Minimum 2 years post-residency experience in adult primary or specialty care. Clean malpractice and disciplinary history; eligible to serve as a collaborating/supervising physician under applicable state law. Telemedicine experience preferred, along with comfort using EMRs and secure communication tools. Responsive and dependable, with the availability to meet chart-review timelines and consultation needs. Familiarity with or interest in obesity medicine and emerging treatment areas (dermatology, HRT, mental health, hair loss, longevity) is a plus. Why Mochi Medical? At Mochi Medical, we are redefining internal medicine and specialty care through technology-driven, patient-first solutions. By joining our team, you will: Enjoy full malpractice coverage for your collaboration activities. Have flexibility over your schedule, with oversight work that fits around your existing practice. Utilize advanced tools like our custom-built EMR and obesity-specific protocols. Benefit from a support team handling lab testing, prior authorizations, compliance documentation, and customer service.
