Commerce Operation Manager at Global Sourcing Company (Remote, PH-based only)
OtaWe are looking for a Commerce Operation Manager to work with us in a remote setup for our Singapore-based client. For this role, we only process candidates that are based in the Philippines and have legal authorization to work in the Philippines.
About the OTA Client
An AI sourcing agent for consumer brands. Describe what you want to launch — a hydrating lip balm, custom gym apparel, frosted glass dropper bottles — and the agent comes back with verified suppliers, real quotes, and DDP pricing in under 24 hours. What used to take weeks of Alibaba browsing now takes one chat.
Founded in 2021. Today they serve 200+ brands with a network of 4,000+ verified suppliers across 12 countries and a 98% on-time delivery rate. They're headquartered in Singapore with entities in the US, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, and they're now pushing hard into LatAm and the US.
The role
The growth team moves transactions from customer order and collection through sourcing, supplier payment, fulfillment, reconciliation, and exception handling. As volume grows, a missed handoff can mean an order never gets created, a customer never gets charged, a supplier payment is missed, or finance cannot reconcile what happened.
Reporting directly to the Head of Growth, with a dotted line to the Founder/CEO, you'll own the operating system behind this flow and manage the Conversion operations team across account management, sourcing, and logistics. The goal is not to add more trackers or chase people after problems happen. It is to design clear ownership, controls, automation, and operating rhythms that prevent errors, protect revenue, improve customer experience, and scale without headcount growing linearly with transaction volume.
What you'll own
- End-to-end commerce operations — own the operating flow from order creation customer collection sourcing / supplier payment fulfillment reconciliation exception handling, with clear visibility at every stage
- Revenue and order leakage prevention — ensure every transaction that should become an order, customer payment, supplier payment, or reconciliation event actually happens, with a clear Owner and no deals falling through handoff gaps
- Process design and controls — define Owners, SLAs, handoff rules, required data, approval / control points, escalation paths, and recurring operating mechanisms so issues are prevented by design
- Automation and systems improvement — identify duplicate entry, manual updates, unnecessary steps, and spreadsheet-heavy workflows; decide what to eliminate, standardize, or automate, then partner with Growth, Finance, Product, and Tech to implement it
- Team leadership and cross-functional execution — manage the Conversion operations team across account management, sourcing, and logistics, while working closely with Product, Tech, GTM, Finance, and other teams to improve the end-to-end system
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in e-commerce, marketplace, or transaction-platform operations, with hands-on ownership of order payment fulfillment reconciliation exception-handling workflows
- People management experience — you have managed an operations team before, set expectations and operating cadence, and can build accountability without becoming the bottleneck
- Strong operational and systems mindset — you can turn fragmented execution into clear workflows, controls, SLAs, ownership, and scalable operating mechanisms
- Numbers-first thinking — you can reconcile amounts, spot missing orders or collections, understand margins and payment logic, and identify financial or operational leakage before it compounds
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and professional English + Chinese — you can work with operational data, communicate clearly across teams, and use data to drive follow-through; experience improving or automating workflows is strongly preferred
