Is this job info correct?

About Nous Nous is an AI agent that takes some of the load of life; making good decisions and acting for our users in areas where they’re not the experts or aren’t paying enough attention. We've started with optimising bills, where we're already saving households thousands, and are now expanding into new categories. Similar to how Amazon picked books as its first category and grew from there. We’re growing fast, and it's working. 20x YoY growth makes us one of the fastest scaling startups in the UK. And NPS of +70 (higher than Apple) shows that our users love it. We've just launched two more novel new products (on top of our existing bill optimisation). Insurance: we're the first to get the regulatory approval and build the tech to actually do the full insurance discovery and purchase journey as an agent for the user (not just give them a link to the best deal). Subscription management: lots of companies use Open Banking to draw pretty graphs – we're the first to use it to actively save people money starting by cancelling unwanted subscriptions for them. It would be easy to look at this and think we've got it all figured out. But we've only scratched the surface; our ambitions are SO much higher. We’re building a new category of product which is hard, so we’ve stacked the deck in our favour: an experienced founding team with multiple exits, and investors including the founders of Monzo, Wise, Booking.com , lastminute.com , Onfido, Funding Circle, Tide, Habito and more. Still - the problems we’re solving are hard . ‘Talk is cheap’ applies to agents too. To have REAL impact, agents need to break out of the sandbox and take action in the real world where there are consequences. This means solving all the hard, thorny, interesting, frustrating problems the real world has to offer. About the role Nous is one of the UK’s fastest growing, AI-native consumer start-ups. We’re looking for an exceptional Commercial Analyst whose ambition matches our own and can help accelerate our next phase of scale. The Commercial team encompasses 3 main interlinked areas: the Growth team, responsible for scaling the Nous user-base, the product squad responsible for converting visitors to our website into happy users of the Nous service, and the team responsible for negotiating the tariffs and prices that we offer to our users . This is a high-impact, high-context role sitting across all three areas. This person will be responsible for business analytics across the group - on one day that might mean setting up and measuring a website-conversion experiment, on the next creating a dashboard for a crucial new revenue stream, and the next helping negotiate an industry-leading price from a utility provider. You’ll work closely with our founders and senior leaders throughout the business, turning data into insight that shapes where we place our biggest bets. When a number moves, you’re the person who knows why. When we’re deciding what to do next, you’re the person who’s already modelled the scenarios. We’ve got serious commercial targets - we are on our way to helpingp millions of households across the UK. Your days will never be dull. We’re growing on every vector at once: users, the utility and insurance ‘service lines’ we manage, the other jobs we take off people’s hands (cancelling unwanted subscriptions, for one), and the data users connect to us through open banking. You might be building models that guide how we allocate budget, stand up the metrics that tell us whether a new channel is worth scaling, automate the reporting that quietly eats everyone’s time, or dig into the questions that no one has thought to ask yet. You won’t be boxed in, and you’ll be working on problems that genuinely matter from day one, with the support of smart, ambitious teammates. We’re setting a high bar for this role. You don’t need to have done exactly this before - because nobody has - but you need to be smart, sharp, curious, and energised by the idea of being the person who makes an entire company smarter about itself, as well as comfortable working in a high-context environment with high expectations and a steep learning curve. About you This is a high-performance analytical role at the commercial core of a fast-scaling business. We're open to a wide variety of experience levels, but it's ideal for someone in the early-to-middle stages of their career, e.g. 2-6 years of experience in a fast-paced, analytical environment such as a startup, consultancy, investment team, or growth-focused business. You might well have an entrepreneurial background or desire and drive to be an entrepreneur in the future. You’ll need to have turned data into decisions in the real world — building models, analysing funnels, running experiments, or helping commercial teams understand what’s really going on beneath the numbers. You don’t need to be the deepest technical specialist, but you do need to be genuinely comfortable with data, hungry to learn, and excited to move quickly. You’ll likely thrive in this role if: You are relentlessly analytical. You break big, ambiguous questions into parts, chase down the data, and don’t stop until you understand what’s really going on. You are instinctively commercial. You don’t just report the numbers — you understand what they mean for the business, and you care about the decision on the other side of the analysis.ou have a natural flair for working the angles, and are always interested in how to get deals done. You’re fluent in data. You can pull what you need with SQL, build a clean dashboard, and structure a spreadsheet model to answer a question yourself rather than waiting on someone else. You’re probably not a data engineer - but you can unblock yourself if the data model isn’t quite set up how to need it. You know how to run a good experiment. You can design a test, manage it end to end, measure it honestly, and — most importantly — draw the conclusion that tells the team what to do next. You turn complexity into clarity. You can take a tangle of data and produce the one chart, model, or sentence that actually changes what people do, and make it land with people who don’t live in spreadsheets. You love new tools and thrive on getting them to work for you, especially AI. You get a lot more done because of it. You think like an owner. You care about outcomes more than tasks, and you’re always looking for the next thing worth measuring. You move fast and learn fast. You enjoy pace, don't mind context-switching, and thrive in conditions of ambiguity — which is to say, you're comfortable even when no one's drawn you a map. You care about building something meaningful. You’re excited by the mission behind Nous, and motivated by helping households save time and money at scale. We’re building a best-in-class team, and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to grow with it. If you get a kick out of finding the signal in the noise — and turning it into decisions that move an ambitious business forward — we’d love to hear from you. Remuneration and benefits Compelling packages, including share options with life-changing upside. We’ve raised enough money to pay real salaries. We're building something great together and we all share in the upside. If we win, we win together. An environment where you can do your best work: 🏢 A great office set up for lots of collaborative working. We already need more whiteboards 💻 The equipment / setup / training you need to do your best work 🤝 A high-context environment with lots of exposure to the big decisions - be in the room when it happens (literally) 🏡 Flexibility around remote work. If you sometimes just need to get your head down, that's fine ☕ Very good coffee 🍽️ A well-stocked kitchen (featuring a wildly popular toastie maker) so you can always make yourself a breakfast or light lunch on the house 🎉 Informal social every week, something bigger every month, plus a set-piece event in the summer and again at Christmas - we're not robots! ✈ 33 days paid holidays (including bank holidays) 💊 Health and dental cash plans, including an employee assistance programme 🚴 Travel benefits, including the cycle-to-work scheme and season ticket loans Nous has an office-first culture . That means we encourage in-person working, and most people do work from the office in Farringdon most of the time. We do a lot of brainstorming, problem-solving and interaction within the team and presence makes this more effective. It also helps ensure people have good peripheral awareness and high context. But we are pragmatic not doctrinal about this, and recognise that, sometimes, certain types of work can be better done remotely.
