Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours (average 40 hrs/week)
Travel Requirements: Yes, less than 10%
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Reports to: VP, Strategy & Sales Operations

Summary / Primary Role:
The Commercial Data & Performance Analyst turns pipeline, sales activity, and revenue data into clear, actionable insights for sales leaders and representatives across the enterprise. This role owns the analysis behind how Odyssey understands pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and sales performance, partnering closely with the Data Science team to keep that analysis grounded in reliable, well-governed data in support of sales leadership and teams across all Odyssey business units.
What You’ll Do:
We're looking for a detail-oriented analyst who can turn raw sales data into clear insight and present it confidently to audiences at every level of the organization.
- Pipeline & Performance Analysis
- Analyze pipeline, sales activity, and closed-revenue data from Salesforce.com to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the sales funnel.
- Monitor and report on core commercial metrics, including pipeline coverage, conversion/win rates, sales cycle length, quota attainment, forecast accuracy, and activity trends.
- Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Build and maintain reporting and dashboards in Sigma Computing that give sales leaders and reps a clear, current view of performance.
- Translate raw data into insight-driven narratives — not just numbers, but what they mean and what to do about them.
- Stakeholder Partnership & Data Governance
- Partner with the Data Science team on metric definitions, data quality, and analytical requests.
- Flag data quality or Salesforce hygiene issues that affect reporting accuracy, and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Executive Support & Process Improvement
- Support sales leadership with ad hoc analysis for pipeline reviews, forecast calls, QBRs, and occasional executive reporting, presenting findings clearly to audiences ranging from individual sales reps to executive management.
- Continuously look for ways to improve reporting processes, tooling, and the way insight gets delivered to the field.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar analyst role (sales operations, revenue operations, commercial/business analytics, or related)
- Hands-on experience with a modern BI/analytics platform; Sigma Computing experience is preferred, though experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar is acceptable
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or a comparable CRM, including pipeline/opportunity data structures, and a solid grasp of revenue and pipeline metrics (e.g., pipeline coverage, win rate, cycle length, forecast accuracy)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high bar for data accuracy, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable adapting the message across audiences and org levels
- Experience in transportation, logistics, freight, or supply chain, familiarity with SQL, and experience using Claude or similar AI-assisted analysis tools are all a plus
