As one of the world’s most sustainable and purpose-driven technology companies, we bring meaningful innovation to market and help customers solve their most important business challenges. Operating at the intersection of hybrid work, digital transformation and evolving customer needs, HP sees significant opportunities ahead.
We are looking for a strategic, commercially driven and people-focused leader to join our Business Personal Systems category management community as Commercial Category Manager, Nordics & Benelux. In this role, you will lead the regional commercial category agenda, translate WW category strategy into local market execution, and drive business performance across the Nordics and Benelux region.
About the Role
The Commercial Category Manager owns the regional category strategy, business planning and commercial execution for HP’s commercial notebooks and desktops. The role combines P&L ownership, pricing governance, stakeholder influence and people leadership, while ensuring strong alignment between local market needs and central EMEA category priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a regional team of eight experienced Area Category Managers and Pricing Managers across the Nordics and Benelux.
- Own the regional P&L and delegated pricing approvals, ensuring disciplined commercial decision-making and profitable growth.
- Define and communicate category strategy, priorities and tactics for HP’s commercial notebook and desktop portfolio.
- Make effective local market plans and execution across countries.
- Represent Nordic and Benelux market needs toward central category teams, providing clear insight and structured feedback.
- Build strong engagement with sales teams, partners and key stakeholders to drive portfolio understanding, adoption and execution.
- Contribute actively to category business planning, forecasting, performance management and market development.
- Plan and execute successful new product introductions, ensuring readiness across sales, channel, pricing and marketing activities.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong people leadership experience, including coaching, feedback, performance management and talent development.
- Solid understanding of the IT industry, preferably within commercial Personal Systems or related technology categories.
- Strong business planning capability, with the ability to manage complex, multi-country commercial plans.
- Financial planning, modelling and reporting skills, including confidence in managing P&L performance and business reviews.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Experience with promotional marketing processes, partner engagement and go-to-market execution.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to articulate the value proposition of HP’s product portfolio to customers and partners.
- Cross-functional leadership experience across sales, supply chain, marketing, category and business management teams.
Education and Experience
- University or Bachelor’s degree required; MBA-level business thinking is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant ICT industry experience, ideally including category management, commercial management, pricing, sales or business leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders and drive results across a matrixed, multi-country environment.
Leadership Behaviours
- Demonstrates a growth mindset and curiosity to continuously learn, adapt and improve.
- Acts with a results-oriented, pragmatic and positive can-do attitude.
- Builds trusted relationships across channels, business units, country management teams and supporting functions.
- Motivates and develops their team while staying passionate about customers, partners and business outcomes.
- Shows high integrity, sound judgement and strong ethical standards in all business decisions.
Why Join HP?
This is an opportunity to shape HP’s commercial category strategy across a dynamic, multi-country region. You will lead a skilled regional team, influence business outcomes across markets, and play an important role in bringing HP’s innovation and commercial value to customers and partners across the Nordics and Benelux.
