About the Role
The Commercial Finance Manager KBF is a senior commercial finance partner supporting Cyncly’s largest business area, with a portfolio of approximately $250 million in annual recurring revenue. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director KBF, the role works closely with Sales leadership to shape material and multi-million-dollar opportunities.
The Manager owns the financial challenge and approval of deal economics, ensuring that pricing, contractual terms, payment structures and delivery commitments balance customer value, growth, cash and sustainable profitability.
The role also strengthens revenue forecasting, oversees bookings-to-ARR conversion and identifies opportunities to improve commercial performance and reduce value leakage. Accounting conclusions, journals and financial-close activities remain the responsibility of the Controller team.
This is a senior individual-contributor role that leads through commercial judgement, influence and effective cross-functional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal finance partner to the KBF commercial team, providing independent guidance on deal economics, pricing and revenue quality.
- Evaluate new and existing commercial opportunities, assessing profitability, cash flow, contractual commitments and financial risk.
- Build and maintain financial models for pricing decisions, renewals, expansions and complex customer negotiations.
- Review commercial contracts and translate key terms into clear financial implications for the business.
- Exercise delegated authority over commercial proposals within agreed financial and governance parameters.
- Monitor the conversion of annual recurring revenue into recognised revenue, identifying and resolving performance gaps.
- Support delivery of the business unit’s revenue, margin and profitability objectives through focused analysis and recommendations.
- Establish consistent deal-review criteria, approval processes and commercial-finance controls.
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations, Accounting and senior leadership throughout the commercial lifecycle.
- Produce concise reporting on deal pipeline, revenue conversion, margin, risks and opportunities.
- Conduct post-deal reviews to compare expected and actual outcomes and improve future commercial decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in commercial finance, deal finance, pricing, FP&A or revenue-focused financial analysis.
- Advanced financial-modelling skills and a sound understanding of revenue, margin, cash flow and return on investment.
- Demonstrated ability to assess commercial contracts and identify financial, operational and contractual risks.
- Strong business judgement and confidence making recommendations with limited supervision.
- Ability to influence senior commercial stakeholders while maintaining independent financial discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented and comfortable managing several complex priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Accounting and operational teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP, CRM and business-intelligence platforms.
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS, software, technology or another subscription-based business.
- Knowledge of annual recurring revenue, bookings, renewals, churn and revenue-conversion metrics.
