The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Analyst, Commercial Finance to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and financial modeling skills. of This role is central to our organization, providing crucial financial support and insight to our Canadian Commercial team to help drive profitable growth. The Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance will also be instrumental in planning and reporting against annual revenue plans and achieving targets.
This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Commercial Finance.
Responsibilities:
Support cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Accounting, through financial analysis, reporting, and data-driven insights
Prepare month-end reporting packages, including P&L reviews, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting
Maintain and support the enhancement of data sources, reporting tools, and dashboards to improve Commercial Finance reporting and decision support
Assist with product launches, promotional planning, forecasting, and financial performance assessments
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data through reconciliations, validation procedures, and continuous process improvements
Other duties as assigned
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA completed or in progress is an asset)
1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, reporting, or related finance functions
Must have a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a focus on Excel is a must
Proficiency with visualization software (i.e. Tableau) is an asset
Knowledge of trade investment, promotional landscape, and promotional optimization techniques is an asset

This is a full-time remote-first role based out of Kanata/Ottawa or Toronto, Ontario.

Salary - $65,000- $80,000
