Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders, you'll provide insightful analysis, reporting, forecasting and financial modelling that helps drive better decision-making across the business. You'll be comfortable handling large datasets, turning complex information into clear, meaningful insights that support investment decisions, performance improvement and delivery of our sustainability ambitions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, improving processes and making a real impact in a business that's investing heavily in its future.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing and distributing regular financial and performance reporting.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes across capital expenditure, decarbonisation projects and central costs.
  • Building financial models to support investment decisions, business cases and benefit realisation tracking.
  • Analysing large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining robust financial models, reporting templates and analytical tools.
  • Managing reporting timetables and ensuring deadlines are met accurately and on time.
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and provide financial insight and support.
  • Supporting long-term strategic planning and investment activity.
  • Providing financial support for electric vehicle and decarbonisation funding initiatives, from bid development through to delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and ways of working.
  • Supporting wider Commercial Finance projects across Stagecoach businesses.
  • Responding to stakeholder queries and presenting complex information in a clear and concise way.

What We Need

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience supporting capital expenditure, investment or project reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain complex financial models.
  • Experience analysing and interpreting large datasets.
  • Experience using data analysis and business intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify anomalies and trends.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • The confidence to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders at all levels.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a desire to enhance processes and reporting.
  • The ability to quickly learn new systems, tools and concepts.

Desirable

  • Part-qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA.
  • Experience working within a large, multi-site or operationally complex business.
  • Advanced Excel modelling and data manipulation skills.
