About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Commercial FP&A Manager to lead our financial planning and analysis for commercial operations, driving sustainable growth and profitability. You will be part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department, which is part of the Finance department. FP&A’s mission is to “create enterprise value by pro-actively generating actionable insights to support strategic decision making while instilling a culture of accountability to business results throughout the organization”.

As Commercial FP&A Manager, you bridge the gap between finance and commercial strategy. Building on the foundation of our commercial FP&A analysis, you will translate data into actionable insights, guide strategic decision-making, and lead the financial steering of our global sales and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Sales & Margin Analysis: Monitor monthly sales and margin performance against budget and forecast. Deliver actionable insights into overall sales development (Price & Quantity/Volume), margin evolution, price (P) development, Average Unit Price (AUP) dynamics, and market/product mix.
  • Reporting Enhancement & Insights: Build and elevate commercial controlling capability by continuously improving modern reporting structures, BI dashboards (Tableau/EPM), and visibility into top-line performance drivers.
  • Deep-Dive Commercial Analytics: Conduct tailored analyses, including customer profitability, rebate structures, win-rate development, promotional effectiveness, and commercial department efficiency.
  • Commercial OPEX Oversight: Oversee, analyze, and report out Commercial OPEX (SG&A and Personnel Costs) across sales, marketing, and commercial operations, ensuring accurate financial outcomes (accruals, cost center allocations, headcount) in close collaboration with Accounting and HR.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Advise and challenge commercial leadership, Pricing & Procurement (P&P), and Management Teams (GMT, Commercial MT) as a trusted business partner, leveraging deep-dive financial analyses to resolve performance gaps.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Sales & Margin Planning: Lead the commercial target-setting and forecast design, building models across Price (P), Volume (Q), Average Unit Price (AUP), and product mix perspectives.
  • Process Ownership & Communication: Serve as the main driver of process timelines, guidelines, and clear financial governance across the global commercial organization.
  • Multi-Dimensional Forecasting: Drive rolling forecasts and annual budget cycles across regions, countries, sub-markets, and product categories for both top-line revenue/margins and Commercial OPEX (SG&A, Personnel).
  • Consolidation & Critical Challenge: Consolidate inputs globally, performing rigorous variance analyses to critically challenge commercial assumptions before finalizing plans.
  • Executive Storytelling: Synthesize complex commercial budgeting data into clear executive presentations and high-level commentary for senior leadership.

Strategic Support & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Pricing & AUP Frameworks: Partner with Pricing and Commercial teams in the design, tracking, and refinement of Average Unit Price (AUP) models and commercial margin structures.
  • Margin Reconciliation: Drive cross-functional alignment between commercial margins and financial margins, identifying root causes behind deviations.
  • Cross-Functional Analytics: Translate raw commercial and sales data into strategic recommendations for executive stakeholders, driving revenue optimization and margin expansion.
  • Process & Tool Optimization: Elevate FP&A capabilities through modern EPM/BI technology, automated modeling, and predictive analytics to streamline forecasting and reporting.
  • Ad-Hoc Strategic Projects: Lead strategic initiatives that foster commercial growth (e.g., deep dives rebates, customer profitability…), automate FP&A processes, and improve margin transparency across all global sales channels.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong focus on commercial FP&A, business controlling, or strategic finance in an international environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and ERP/CPM software (e.g., Oracle, Anaplan).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to build trust, challenge senior stakeholders, and lead cross-functional alignment.
  • Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English (spoken & written).

What We Offer

  • A strategic role within a financially healthy, dynamic, and internationally growing family business.
  • Competitive salary package including fringe benefits, company car, and bonus scheme.
  • Flexible working hours, home working and a healthy work-life balance.
  • 20 paid vacation days and 12 WTR days.
  • A people-centric culture where your fitness and mental well-being matter.
  • Lunch breaks and sports facilities in TVH Park, the company's green zone.
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning and many in-house (and external) training courses.
  • Fun after works and other optional events (e.g. TVH Kaffee).
