Commercial Insurance Operations Specialist Foresight Risk and Insurance Services Inc. (“Foresight”) seeking a detail-oriented Operations Specialist to support our Commercial Insurance Operations Team. This is a pre-bind operations role responsible for reviewing and preparing new business submissions for underwriting consideration. The Operations Specialist serves as an important first point of operational review in the submission process, helping ensure submissions are complete, accurately rated, aligned with Foresight’s appetite, and supported by the information needed for efficient underwriting review and decision-making. This role works closely with Underwriting, Distribution, Operations, and other internal teams in a fast-paced, technology-enabled MGA environment. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial insurance operations, with Workers’ Compensation experience strongly preferred, and demonstrates strong attention to detail, judgment, and organizational skills. Check out our website at www.getforesight.com Responsibilities Lead the initial review of new business submissions for completeness, accuracy, and readiness for underwriting review. Review applications, loss runs, exposure information, and supporting documentation and identify missing or inconsistent information. Complete and support rating activities, ensuring rating inputs and exposure information are accurately captured. Review and update Loss Run Templates (LRTs) and related loss information. Pull and verify applicable bureau experience modification factors (Mods) and other bureau information. Obtain and organize financial information and other third-party data required for underwriting review. Conduct an initial appetite review based on established underwriting guidelines and escalate exceptions or concerns to Underwriting. Perform quality-control checks to ensure submission data and documentation are complete and accurate before advancing the submission. Maintain accurate submission information and documentation within Salesforce and other applicable systems. Partner with Underwriting, Distribution, and Operations to support timely and efficient submission processing. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, data quality, automation, and operational efficiency. Other duties as assigned based on business need. Requirements 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance operations, underwriting support, or a related insurance role preferred. Workers’ Compensation experience strongly preferred. Experience reviewing commercial insurance submissions, applications, loss runs, rating information, and exposure data. Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation rating, experience modification factors, classifications, payroll exposures, and bureau information preferred. Experience with Salesforce or similar systems preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify missing information, discrepancies, and quality issues. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment with evolving processes and automation. Must reside and be authorized to work in the United States and be available during core business hours for the region supported. At Foresight, and its subsidiaries, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $40,000-$50,000 + bonus + equity. *Location will be considered if the role is required to be located in a certain geographic area.
