Commercial Lines Account Executive

Steadwell is a new kind of insurance agency. We pair experienced insurance people with AI tools that take the admin off their desk, so clients get fast, tailored advice instead of a queue. We're opening in the US, and you'd be one of our first producers. That means a real say in how we sell, and a bigger share of what you build than most agencies offer.

This is an independent producer (1099) relationship, not employment. Compensation is commission only. You run your own sales process and schedule from anywhere in Florida, and Steadwell provides the platform: carrier and wholesaler access, a dedicated account manager and service team, and AI tools built for producers.

You'll win and grow middle-market commercial P&C accounts across Florida. A service team handles onboarding and renewals with you, and AI tools handle research, submissions and follow-up. In year one, success means a growing book of clients you brought in, and a hand in writing our Florida sales playbook.

What you'll do:

• Prospect for and win commercial P&C accounts, focused on the middle market.
• Build or move your book through referrals, centers of influence and targeted outreach.
• Run discovery, assess exposures and design coverage programs.
• Lead carrier and wholesaler strategy on new business and renewals.
• Present proposals and close.
• Work with service on onboarding and retention.
• Use AI tools every day, and help us make them better.

What you need:

• An active Florida general lines (property and casualty) agent license (2-20).

• A book of commercial clients you can bring, or a clear plan to build one in Florida.

• Working knowledge of property, general liability, auto, umbrella and workers' comp.

Nice to have:

• A track record of writing commercial new business as a producer.

• Middle-market experience.

• Professional lines knowledge.

• A network in Tampa Bay or Florida.

• An entrepreneurial streak and curiosity about AI.

• 50% of commission on new business and 30% on renewals.

How we hire: you'll fill in a short application, have a 30-minute video call with our team, and then a deeper conversation about your book and plan. We use AI-enabled tools to help organize and summarize applications. People review every application and make every hiring decision.

A short-term draw against future commissions may be available on request for producers transitioning a book, subject to a business plan and management approval.
