Full time US working hours (3pm-11pm/4pm-12am SAST) Remote (within South Africa) Independent Contractor Position Overview A client in the US is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines CSR to assume management of an existing book of business totaling approximately $1.5 million in premium. A significant portion of the book consists of Contractor accounts with New York City exposure, requiring working knowledge of NYC contractor insurance requirements: Local Law compliance, labor law exposure, wrap-up exclusions, and additional insured form requirements (CG 20 10 / CG 20 37). The right candidate will actively market accounts, evaluate and compare quotes from multiple carriers, and read all policy forms and endorsements to confirm coverage is compliant with the client's contractual obligations before binding. Responsibilities Account Servicing Manage full account lifecycle for a commercial book: online quoting, onboarding, mid-term endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and renewals Serve as primary CSR contact for Real Estate (landlord, habitational, mixed-use) and Contractor (GL, WC, BOP, umbrella) accounts Review policies upon receipt against applications, quotes, and binders; flag discrepancies to carriers Field service requests from clients, lenders, mortgagees, and certificate holders Certificates, ID Cards & Lender Requests Issue high-volume COIs (ACORD 25) and Evidences of Property (ACORD 27) independently, same-day or next-day Process lender verification requests, mortgage clause updates, and additional insured/loss payee endorsements Issue commercial auto ID cards; maintain COI logs and certificate holder requirement tracking Renewals, Marketing & Coverage Analysis Prepare renewal submissions in AMS360: pull policy data, order loss runs, complete ACORD applications (125, 126, 130, 140, 160) Market to carriers and wholesalers; prepare coverage/premium comparison spreadsheets for producer review Read all quote forms and endorsements to verify contractual compliance before presenting to producers or clients Requirements Minimum 5 years Commercial Lines CSR experience at a retail P&C agency — boutique or independent preferred AMS360 hands-on account management experience required (not just familiarity) High-volume COI experience: ACORD 25 and ACORD 27, independently issued without producer involvement Real Estate and/or Contractor account experience; NYC contractor insurance requirements strongly preferred Working knowledge of ACORD application forms (125, 126, 130, 140) and carrier portal navigation Experience marketing accounts through wholesale brokers preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication skills Ideal Candidate This role is designed for a generalist CSR who has spent their career at a small or independent agency owning accounts end-to-end — not a specialist from a segmented corporate environment.
