Rockland Trust is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Loan Booking & Funding Specialist to join our Commercial Loan Operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our Business Banking and Commercial Lending teams by accurately setting up, booking, and funding loans while ensuring a high level of service and operational excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with banking, lending, loan servicing, or operations experience who are looking to expand their knowledge of commercial lending and build a long-term career within a collaborative and growing organization. Training will be provided on internal systems and processes.


Responsibilities
• Accurately board and maintain Business Banking and Commercial loan accounts within the Bank's loan systems.
• Support the funding process for commercial loans and lines of credit, ensuring transactions are completed timely and accurately.
• Partner with lending, loan closing, and post-closing teams to facilitate the seamless onboarding of new loan relationships.
• Review loan information and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Process account maintenance requests, loan advances, and related transactions.
• Research and resolve discrepancies or booking errors as needed.
• Process general ledger entries and other operational transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Deliver exceptional service to internal business partners and customers.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Assist with additional departmental projects and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience in banking, loan operations, lending support, loan servicing, financial services, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Comfortable learning new systems, processes, and banking products.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.


Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with loan servicing, loan operations, or commercial lending processes.
• Familiarity with commercial or business banking loan documentation.
• Experience with Horizon, IBS, nCino, SharePoint, or similar banking platforms.
• Understanding of banking regulations and operational controls.
