We’re focused on providing superior genetics, reliable testing and diagnostics, integrated on-farm software, and great customer service, all designed to help farmers make smarter decisions every day.
As a proud generational co-operative, we’re here for farmers, their families, and rural communities, not just for today, but for the future. And none of it happens without our people. Whether on farm, in the lab, or behind the scenes, every one of us plays a part in helping New Zealand farmers succeed.

As part of our Commercial Team, you'll play an important role in helping LIC deliver value to our customers through insightful financial analysis, reporting, and commercial partnering. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to support informed decision-making, enhance financial performance, and contribute to the long-term success of the organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights, building strong relationships, and influencing business outcomes.
Your Key Focus:

Deliver accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting through the review, reconciliation, and analysis of financial data.
Support core management accounting activities and maintain the integrity of financial information.
Commercial Partnering
Partner with Business Unit leaders and finance stakeholders to provide meaningful commercial insights, performance reporting, and decision support.
Contribute to the development of budgets, forecasts, and business plans that drive organisational performance.
Business Insights & Decision Support
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate financial and operational data into actionable insights.
Identify risks, opportunities, trends, and performance drivers to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Systems & Capability Support
Support and up skill business users in the effective use of financial systems and reporting tools, including SAP, B1, and Adaptive.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reporting capability, efficiency, and data quality.
Your Key Skills & Experience:
A relevant tertiary qualification and CA qualification (or equivalent professional membership), coupled with at least three years' experience in an accounting or commercial finance role.
Strong management accounting knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and financial performance management.
Highly developed analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information, challenge assumptions, and provide practical commercial recommendations.
Advanced Microsoft Excel capability and experience working with ERP or financial systems to support reporting and analysis.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and translate financial information into clear, business-focused insights.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
A collaborative, proactive approach and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.
In Return:
In addition to a competitive salary, you'll receive some great benefits including:

Flexible working options
Discounted health, life, income and disability insurances
Access to our employee shares scheme
