Commercial Manager – European Projects

Location: Madrid, Spain (Remote / Hybrid with European Travel)

Salary: €95,000 per annum

Package: All Travel & Accommodation Provided

Travel: Approximately 2 Weeks Per Month Across Europe

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a growing international contractor delivering major construction projects across Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional looking to take ownership of high-value projects while benefiting from a flexible working arrangement.

You'll spend approximately two weeks per month on-site across European projects, with the remaining time working remotely from home in Madrid.

All project-related travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial performance across multiple European construction projects - specifically MEP packages on data center construction projects
• Manage project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and financial performance.
• Lead contract administration, commercial negotiations and subcontractor management.
• Identify and manage commercial risks, variations, claims and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Directors, Project Managers and senior leadership to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Manage procurement strategies, subcontractor agreements and payment applications.
• Monitor project profitability, cash flow and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Support commercial reporting and provide strategic input on project delivery.
• Travel to European project locations to support delivery teams and resolve commercial matters.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong background in commercial management, contract administration and cost control.
• Experience working on major construction or engineering projects.
• Experience in MEP, data centres, mission-critical or technically complex construction projects would be highly advantageous.
• Strong contractual knowledge and commercial negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English essential; Spanish language skills advantageous.
• Based in Madrid or the surrounding area, with flexibility to travel across Europe.
