All fragrances and design worlds are original compositions, rooted in specificity, surrealism, and clarity.
With distribution across 600 doors globally and five freestanding stores in NYC and LA, the brand is entering a new phase of growth following Manzanita Capital’s majority investment in 2024.

Role Overview
The Commercial Operations Coordinator serves as the operational hub supporting D.S. & Durga’s Commercial organization across North America Wholesale, International and Retail.
The role is responsible for ensuring that orders, launches, customer information, commercial tools, reporting and day-to-day operational workflows are executed accurately and efficiently across channels.
As D.S. & Durga continues implementing its new ERP system and increasing automation with sales tools like NuOrder, the role will increasingly move beyond manual order entry toward commercial enablement, exception management, reporting and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned:
1. Commercial Operations
  • Support end-to-end order management across Wholesale, International and Retail channels.
  • Process manual sales orders and manage order exceptions that require intervention.
  • Review incoming orders for pricing, availability, allocation and SKU discrepancies and coordinate resolution with Commercial and Operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate customer, pricing, product and account information across relevant systems.
  • Support new account setup and onboarding in partnership with Commercial, Finance and Operations.
  • Maintain visibility across open orders, backorders, allocations and shipment status.
  • Partner with Logistics and warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Support resolution of chargebacks, invoice discrepancies and other account-related operational issues.
2. Commercial Enablement
  • Support launch readiness across North America Wholesale, International and Retail.
  • Coordinate samples, testers, GWPs, POSM, sales materials and other commercial tools required for launches and retailer/distributor activations.
  • Maintain current linesheets, assortments, price lists and product information.
  • Coordinate distribution of commercial toolkits and materials to internal teams, retailers and distributors.
  • Support buyer meetings, market appointments, retail events and other commercial initiatives as required.
  • Partner with GTM, Marketing and Creative teams to ensure Commercial teams receive required launch materials on time.
3. Reporting & Insights
  • Maintain regular reporting across open orders, backorders, fill rate, inventory availability and account performance.
  • Support development and maintenance of Commercial dashboards using Business Central, Jet Reporting, Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Produce recurring sell-in reports by customer, item, region and channel.
  • Identify operational trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support Commercial leaders with ad hoc analysis and reporting required for business reviews and planning.
4. Customer & Sales Team Support
  • Serve as a key operational point of contact for Commercial teams across North America Wholesale, International and Retail.
  • Respond to retailer and distributor questions regarding order status, product availability, shipments, invoices and product information.
  • Ensure customers are proactively informed of delays, allocation constraints or other issues affecting fulfillment.
  • Partner closely with the Commercial Director, North America Wholesale; International Sales Director; and Director of Retail Stores to support the operational needs of their respective channels.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Logistics, Finance, Marketing and Creative teams.
5. Process Improvement & Systems
  • Become a highly capable user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related Commercial systems.
  • Support the expansion of EDI usage at the company by partnering with retailers and distributors to scope and prioritize new connections
  • Support the continued evolution of automated order flows through NuOrderand future system integrations.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, improve data accuracy and streamline Commercial workflows.
  • Help document processes, SOPs and operating standards as systems and responsibilities evolve.
  • Participate in ERP testing, system improvements and future Commercial technology projects.
  • Act as a champion for disciplined system usage and data integrity across the Commercial organization.

Attention to Detail: Enters and reviews orders, pricing, account terms, and shipment information accurately. Catches discrepancies in purchase orders, invoices, and inventory before they become issues. Maintains clean, reliable records in order management, CRM, and reporting tools.
Analytical Skills: Gathers, organizes, and interprets sales, order, and inventory data. Combines data with experience and business context to draw sound conclusions. Prepares clear reports and trackers that support decision-making. Spots trends, gaps, or inefficiencies and helps design better workflows and procedures.
Problem Solving: Identifies order, shipping, and account issues early and resolves them promptly. Investigates root causes rather than only fixing symptoms. Develops practical alternatives when plans change. Works well with others to solve problems, and stays calm, objective, and solution-focused under pressure or with challenging accounts.
Planning and Organization: Manages multiple accounts, deadlines, and requests at once. Prioritizes work based on business impact, including seasonal launches, store needs, and key wholesale timelines. Sets clear goals for own work and uses time efficiently. Anticipates resource needs and adapts smoothly to shifting priorities. Works in an organized, systematic way.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Works effectively with Sales, Retail, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain/Logistics to keep commercial operations running smoothly. Serves as a reliable point of contact for wholesale reps and store teams. Balances individual responsibilities with team needs and puts shared success first. Is open to others' perspectives, gives and welcomes feedback, and contributes to a positive team culture.
Use of Technology: Is proficient in order management, ERP, CRM, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools, with strong Excel or Sheets skills. Adapts quickly to new systems and keeps technical skills current. Troubleshoots common system issues and escalates when needed. Uses technology to streamline processes and improve productivity.

Education/Experience:
  • 0-3 years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, wholesale, retail operations, customer service, supply chain or a related field.
  • Recent graduates with strong relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in using technology and automation to improve processes and reduce manual work.
  • Experience within beauty, fragrance, fashion, consumer goods or retail is preferred but not required.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to operate hands-on within a growing organization.

Language Ability:
Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.

Mathematical Ability:
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
  • MS Office
  • Proficiency in Excel required (pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP experience preferred).
  • Experience with an ERP system is a plus (Business Central, NetSuite, etc.)

  • The hourly range for this role is $ $28–$31 dependent upon experience
