The Commissioning Documentation Specialist is responsible for managing
commissioning documentation, workflows, assignments, and issue tracking within
various commissioning documentation platforms in support of the data center
commissioning team. This role focuses on disciplined document control, accurate
record-keeping, and cross-team coordination to drive commissioning documentation and closeout to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain commissioning documentation, workflows, assignments, and issue tracking within various commissioning documentation platforms/applications
- Coordinate with the commissioning team, owners, vendors, and general contractor to maintain accurate and current project records and status
- Track documentation, testing records, deficiencies, and closeout items and assist in driving outstanding items to completion
- Support contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and the owner’s team with commissioning requirements and overall commissioning documentation needs
- Configure and maintain commissioning application project structures, checklists, and user assignments per project setup requirements
- Generate status reports and dashboards to support project team and client reporting needs
- Maintain document version control and ensure consistency and accuracy across commissioning records
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in various commissioning management software platforms (e.g. CxAlloy, Facility Grid, BlueRithm)
- Strong document control and record-keeping discipline
- Ability to interpret commissioning documentation, testing records, and issue logs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office software
- Clear written and verbal communication for coordinating across project teams, contractors, and clients
- Coordinate with the commissioning team, owners, vendors, and general contractor to maintain accurate and current project records and status

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2–4 years of experience in document control, project administration, or construction/commissioning support
Preferred:
- Direct experience with CxAlloy or similar commissioning management platforms
- Mission-critical or data center project experience Certifications (Preferred)
- Document control-related coursework or training Performance Expectations
- Accurate, timely maintenance of commissioning documentation and workflows
- Complete and defensible commissioning documentation and closeout tracking
- Responsiveness to project team, contractor, and client requests
- Effective coordination across multiple stakeholders and disciplines
