Performing on-site commissioning activities in accordance with agreed commissioning plans
Coordinating remote commissioning activities with installers and partners
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during commissioning
Providing clear progress, risk and issue updates to Project Managers
Completing commissioning documentation including check sheets, redlines and handover documentation
Developing and improving commissioning processes and procedures for the wider Project Engineering team.
You’ll also work closely with our Field Service and Customer Experience teams to deliver training, provide post-go-live support and ensure sites are ready for successful handover. This includes training Field Service Partners both on site and in classroom environments and keeping them up to date with changes to VERIDAPT products and commissioning processes.
From time to time, you’ll also provide Tier 2 technical support, troubleshooting technical issues across existing installations.
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or a related discipline
5+ years’ experience in electrical commissioning within an industrial environment
Experience with instrumentation, control systems and network communications
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
The ability to work independently and remotely
A current Australian driver’s license
Willingness to complete employment medicals
Confidence working across a combination of site, office and home environments.
Highly regarded:
Mining industry experience
Experience or understanding of diesel fuel systems and infrastructure
Travel
This role involves significant travel and would suit someone who genuinely enjoys being out on site.
You’ll travel to project sites throughout Australia, typically attending towards the end of installation and remaining through the commissioning phase. There may also be opportunities to travel internationally to train and support VERIDAPT partners.
What we’re looking for personally
You’re a self-starter who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and working directly with customers and technical teams. You build strong working relationships, communicate clearly and look for ways to continuously improve how projects are delivered.
You’ll bring a commercial and customer-focused mindset while maintaining the high safety and technical standards expected across our project sites.
