Common Criteria Security Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Common Criteria Security Engineer for a client in the cybersecurity and technology industry located on the East Coast of the United States. The Common Criteria Security Engineer role is fully remote; however, candidates must reside on the East Coast. The Common Criteria Security Engineer role is ideal for a security professional with experience supporting product evaluations against the European Common Criteria framework and collaborating with engineering teams to achieve certification objectives.

Responsibilities of the Common Criteria Security Engineer include:

• Guide security product evaluations and certification efforts in alignment with the European Common Criteria (CC) framework.
• Develop, review, and maintain security documentation including Security Targets, design specifications, and supporting evidence artifacts.
• Partner with software development, quality assurance, and product teams to integrate Common Criteria requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conduct security assessments, gap analyses, and remediation planning to ensure compliance with certification standards.
• Coordinate with external laboratories and stakeholders to facilitate successful certification reviews and audits.
  
  

Requirements of the Common Criteria Security Engineer include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on knowledge of the European Common Criteria (CC) framework and certification processes.
• Experience creating or reviewing technical security documentation and compliance artifacts.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices, system security concepts, and risk assessment methodologies.
  
  

Compensation for the Common Criteria Security Engineer include:

• $95,000 - 120,000 annually
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
