About Melbourne Business School and BAHL

Melbourne Business School (MBS) exists to unleash ideas and leaders for a sustainable future. The Bastas Academy for Health Leadership (BAHL) is a joint venture between MBS and the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. BAHL builds leadership capability across the health sector, supports collaboration and innovation, and develops partnerships that contribute to better healthcare.

The opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Communications and Marketing Coordinator to help grow awareness of BAHL, increase participation in its courses and events, and support the Academy’s strategic objectives. You will bring together clear writing, digital campaign delivery, CRM coordination, event communications and thoughtful stakeholder service in a varied part-time role.

Working closely with the BAHL Executive Officer, Director and colleagues across MBS, MDHS and the University of Melbourne, you will help turn health leadership and academic expertise into relevant communications for learners, alumni, academics, health sector partners and industry audiences.

What you will do
  • Coordinate BAHL’s marketing and communications plan, campaign calendar, templates and shared content assets.

  • Write, build, test and send eDMs, newsletters, invitations, reminders, surveys and follow-up communications.

  • Maintain CRM contacts, lists, segments, preferences and campaign records, supporting accurate data and useful reporting.

  • Create clear, engaging copy and visual collateral for digital channels, social media, web, presentations and events.

  • Coordinate event communications for courses, Masterclasses, information sessions and stakeholder activities.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, coordinate approvals and deliver timely, consistent communications.

  • Monitor campaign and event results, identify practical improvements and maintain accurate records of approvals, outcomes and learnings.

  • Apply MBS, MDHS and University brand, accessibility, privacy, consent and data governance requirements.

About you

You are an organised and collaborative marketing coordinator who enjoys getting work out the door while keeping the details right. You write with clarity, adapt your approach to different audiences and build constructive relationships with busy stakeholders. You are comfortable managing several deadlines, working independently and asking for input or approval when needed.

You will bring:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, digital media, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Hands-on experience coordinating marketing and communications activity, including eDM creation and CRM-based campaigns.

  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to make complex health, academic or executive education content accessible.

  • Experience supporting event, course or program communications and managing content calendars or social media activity.

  • Confidence creating polished digital assets in Canva or a similar tool, and working within brand guidelines.

  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and stakeholder skills, including the ability to coordinate reviews and approvals.

  • A sound understanding of privacy, email marketing compliance and responsible data handling.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another CRM, marketing automation, web content systems, analytics or event platforms will be highly regarded. Experience in health, higher education, executive education or professional services is also welcome.

Why join MBS?

Join a collaborative, purpose-led team helping shape a new Academy at the intersection of business education and healthcare. Your work will support leaders and organisations working to strengthen the health sector, while connecting you with colleagues across MBS and the University of Melbourne.

How to apply

Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining the experience and perspective you would bring to BAHL. Applications will close on Thursday 5th November 2026.

MBS welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. Let us know if an adjustment would support your participation in the recruitment process.
