Le'Fant is seeking a junior or mid-level career Communications Specialist to support communications, outreach, publications, presentations, meetings, and training activities for a federal mission that is focused on healthcare, benefits, and support programs for service members. This role is contingent upon contract award, but we are connecting with qualified candidates now to support potential program startup if the contract is awarded. Let's talk!
What You'll Do:
- Develop communications and outreach plans.
- Develop newsletters, articles, graphics, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
- Support social-media content, as applicable to program requirements.
- Develop presentation and briefing materials.
- Support publication requirements.
- Support Section 508 requirements for applicable communications products.
- Develop communications and visual components for meetings.
- Develop communications and visual components for training materials.
- Support program stakeholder communications and outreach activities.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- All work must be performed within the United States.
- Must be able to successfully complete and maintain the background investigation and suitability requirements applicable to the position, including the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination if required.
Qualifications
- Junior- to mid-level experience in communications, public affairs, outreach, technical communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong professional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience preparing presentations, articles, newsletters, graphics, or other communications products.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear communications for different audiences.
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements is preferred.
- Federal Government, DoD, VA, healthcare, or similar program communications experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and related communications tools.

Position duties, work location, schedule, and compensation may be adjusted to align with final contract requirements and labor category determinations at the time of award.

Pay Transparency
There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Annual salary is just one component of Le'fant's total compensation package. Le'fant provides a variety of benefits to employees, including but not limited to, health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401k plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation.
