About the role
The Community Manager builds and runs the Hungry Minds communities that drive brand awareness and repeat sales: customers across our key segments, content creators and influencers, illustrators and artists, and retail and brand partners. The role owns community-led brand campaigns, creator and ambassador programs, the CGC collection, and partner activation around new launches, working closely with the marketing and performance teams to turn community activity into measurable growth.

  • Collect, curate and license community-generated content for use in paid ads, organic social, email and the website
  • Engage existing customers after purchase to drive reviews, referrals and repeat orders
  • Build relationships with illustrators and artists connected to our products and involve them in promotion of new releases
  • Coordinate co-marketing activity with retail and brand partners
  • Manage community spaces and channels (social groups, Discord or similar, newsletters, events), including moderation and daily engagement
  • Work with the performance, influencer, and content teams so community output feeds directly into paid and organic campaigns
  • Track and report KPIs: community growth and engagement, CGC volume, creator-sourced revenue, referral and repeat purchase rates

  • Creator and influencer relationship management, including outreach, onboarding and long-term retention

  • Analytical skills: working with engagement metrics, attribution data and ROMI, and presenting results clearly
  • Tool proficiency in social management and listening platforms, community platforms, CRM and email tools (e.g., Klaviyo), and UGC or creator platforms
  • Cross-functional collaboration with performance, influencer, content and product teams
  • Relationship skills with artists, illustrators and partner brands
  • Self-management and prioritization in a fast-moving, remote team
  • 3+ years in community management at a US-focused e-commerce brand with $50–250M revenue and a low SKU count (under 30)
  • Proven results in community building backed by numbers: engagement, growth, CGC output, repeat purchase, and ROMI Data-driven
  • Able to track and report community impact on revenue Gift
