Community Operations Specialist
The Institutes’ RiskStream Collaborative is a large consortium operating in the P&C and L&A insurance industry, with some of the largest carriers, brokers and reinsurers as members. RiskStream works with member companies, and associate member companies (i.e. industry non-profits, civics, solution providers and collaborating entities), to develop solutions for multiparty business process challenges in the insurance industry. As an industry led non-profit, RiskStream seeks to bring the industry together, to design, build, and adopt new multiparty solutions or spotlight existing solutions that could be beneficial to specific insurance sectors. Leveraging various technologies, like blockchain, confidential computing and AI, RiskStream has made significant progress in creating solutions for multiparty business problems in auto insurance, surety bonds, property, life & annuities and reinsurance.
The Community Operations Specialist position is cross-functional position that will work closely Operations, Products, and Sales teams as well as RiskStream Leadership to form a general strategy for community engagement and customer-facing operations. While the technical operations team focuses on operational elements related to technology itself, community operations focuses on industry engagement; ensuring member and non-member insurance organizations remain engaged with various RiskStream offerings, leading to improved consortium participation and retention. The role will involve program and project management across areas of business development, member-led governance, finance and budgets, contracts and events. The role will include working as a liaison between business units to align on community engagement initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Sales, Leadership and Products staff in engaging with member companies and associate member companies.
- Support RiskStream leadership and The Institutes Legal Counsel in assessing and managing the department’s member-facing legal contracts and documentation.
- Work with Technical Operations and RiskStream leadership to monitor budget and participate in financial forecasting with other parties.
- Monitor and facilitate membership collections and revenue inflows. Report on membership revenue trends to RiskStream leadership.
- Assist Sales, Leadership and Products in retaining consortium membership.
- Assist with administrative support related to RiskStream governance, and ensuring optimal industry participation in RiskStream governance.
- Identify opportunities to drive associate membership and help facilitate with research, tracking, outreach, and onboarding of associate members to RiskStream.
- Helps RiskStream attract new members by working closely with RiskStream staff to document industry related benefits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in a business operational or project management role.
- Experience with enterprise-customer-related projects in a fast-paced environment preferred.
