The Community Smiles Outreach Advisor is responsible for increasing member engagement by providing navigation assistance, education, and outreach support throughout the community. In this role, you will build strong partnerships with healthcare organizations, community stakeholders, schools, advocacy groups, and public agencies while helping members maximize their dental benefits and access needed care. You will serve as a key ambassador for Liberty Dental Plan, representing the organization at community events, educational forums, and outreach initiatives designed to improve oral health awareness and benefit utilization. What You'll Do Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, healthcare partners, schools, advocacy groups, and community resource centers. Develop and expand outreach efforts that increase awareness of dental benefits and the importance of preventive oral healthcare. Educate members and community partners on how to access and effectively use dental benefits. Coordinate and participate in community events, health fairs, educational presentations, and outreach activities. Promote benefit utilization and support members in navigating available services and resources. Assist members with access-to-care needs, including appointment scheduling, reminders, transportation coordination, and other support services that help prevent delays in treatment. Collaborate with managed care organization (MCO) healthcare partners and community stakeholders to strengthen engagement efforts. Build relationships with local and state legislative offices, public health agencies, and county service organizations. Support outreach initiatives focused on underserved and vulnerable populations. Assist in planning, coordinating, and promoting Liberty Dental Plan's presence throughout assigned communities and regions. Communicate effectively with diverse populations while fostering trust and engagement. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Associate degree in Public Health Administration, Health Education, Dental Assisting, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental healthcare, a dental office setting, dental insurance, or a related field. Experience working with diverse communities and populations. Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in community-based outreach environments. Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills. Experience facilitating public meetings, presentations, or community forums. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with a minimum liability coverage of $100,000. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and approximately two weekend days per month. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual proficiency with the ability to read, write, and speak a language in addition to English. Experience working with healthcare providers and members in outreach or community engagement settings. Managed care or government-sponsored healthcare program experience. Compensation In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 an hour , not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience.
