Community & Student Growth Intern
Company: DLearn.io
Employment Type: Internship
Work Mode: Remote
Compensation: Unpaid initially + performance-based incentives
About DLearn
DLearn is building a platform focused on helping people learn practical skills and demonstrate what they know through verifiable proof of skill.
We are an early-stage startup, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us and take real ownership of building our student community.
About the Role
We are looking for a Community & Student Growth Intern who can do more than manage an existing community.
Your primary responsibility will be to help DLearn find, attract, engage and convert students into active users and paying learners.
You will work directly on student acquisition and community growth.
This role is especially suitable for someone who understands how to reach students through campuses, student communities, social platforms, partnerships, events, referrals, ambassadors and other creative channels.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop practical strategies for attracting students to DLearn.
- Identify and reach student communities, schools, campuses and relevant student organizations.
- Build and manage DLearn's student community.
- Create campaigns and activities that encourage students to join and participate.
- Develop student ambassador and referral initiatives.
- Reach out to student groups, organizations, communities and potential partners.
- Help communicate DLearn's value proposition to students.
- Track where new students are coming from and identify the channels producing the best results.
- Help convert interested students into active and paying learners.
- Gather feedback from students and communicate insights to the DLearn team.
- Experiment with new student acquisition strategies and measure the results.
Who We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
- Understand how to reach students and young people.
- Have experience building or managing online communities.
- Have experience with student organizations, campus communities, ambassadors or youth-focused initiatives.
- Understand social media and community-led growth.
- Are comfortable reaching out to people and starting conversations.
- Are creative and willing to test different approaches.
- Can work independently without needing someone to constantly tell you what to do.
- Care about measurable results, not just posting content.
- Are excited about education, technology and helping people develop practical skills.
Previous community management experience is helpful, but it is not mandatory. Demonstrable ability to attract and organize people matters more to us.
What You Will Get
- Hands-on experience building a real education technology community.
- Direct experience in student acquisition and growth.
- The opportunity to work closely with an early-stage startup team.
- A portfolio of real growth projects and campaigns you can demonstrate professionally.
- Opportunity to take significant ownership of DLearn's community growth.
- Performance-based incentives tied to measurable growth and revenue.
- Opportunity to transition into a paid position as DLearn reaches defined revenue milestones.
Compensation
DLearn is currently at an early stage and does not yet have the funding to offer a fixed salary for this position.
Therefore, this is an initially unpaid internship with performance-based incentives.
We believe compensation should grow with the value created. As DLearn begins generating sustainable revenue, we intend to transition successful contributors into paid roles based on agreed responsibilities and performance.
We will discuss the specific performance incentive structure with shortlisted candidates before the internship begins.
How to Apply
Please submit your application through LinkedIn.
In your application, answer this question:
"If you joined DLearn tomorrow and had to help us get our first 100 paying students without a large marketing budget, what would you do?"
We are much more interested in your thinking and practical ideas than in a perfect CV.
