The successful candidate will provide program communication materials and administer compensation programs including completing job evaluations and market pricing, developing and maintaining policies, and documenting and administering incentive plans globally to ensure Ashland’s managers have all of the tools necessary to attract and retain high performing employees. This will be a remote based position based in the United States reporting to the Global Compensation Manager and will have exposure to benefits and HR operations projects for career development. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Monitor local market trend information and work with manager to ensure compensation programs are competitive and responsive to local business unit needs. Administer direct compensation (exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) which includes the processing, recording, and reporting of compensation-related actions. Actively support the configuration and testing of Pay Factors and Workday advanced compensation and the ongoing utilization and testing of these tools. Participate in and conducts both exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved Become knowledgeable in local regulations to ensure that the compensation programs are compliant with corporate policies and government regulations. Assists with the implementation and maintenance of compensation programs to support business needs, including competitive analysis, internal impact analysis, cost projections, implementation strategies, and communication with HR management. Provide data analytics support to Compensation Manager and HR Business Partners to audit and provide data intelligence to predict trends and respond proactively to business needs. Partner with the HRIS team in design and implementation of compensation programs, Workday configurations, reporting, etc. Answer manager and employee inquiries regarding compensation programs. Complete job evaluations using market pricing and deliver in a format that leads to transparency and understanding. In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resource management, business, finance, economics, or related disciplines required. A minimum of 0-2 years of human resources and /or compensation experience. Specific experience with base salary structures, short-term and long-term incentive programs, competitive market analysis, forecasting trends, costs, and modeling outcomes is helpful. Outstanding problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to clearly define problems, collect data (primary and secondary), establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and communicate analysis clearly to stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong customer service skills Ability to work well under pressure Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills Compensation modeling and graphing skills in excel In more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC.
