🌍 About the Company
Our client is a UK-based global, multi-channel payment gateway and a full-service Payment Service Provider of local e-payment solutions for International Customer Not-Present businesses.
💼 About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Compliance & Account Support Officer who combines strong compliance skills with a hands-on, client-facing approach.
This is a dual-function role. You will support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and the compliance function with due diligence, screening and transaction monitoring, and you will also work alongside our Account Managers to support day-to-day communication with corporate clients and routine account management.
You will report to the MLRO on compliance matters and work closely with the Account Management team on client-facing tasks.
🔍 Responsibilities:
Compliance
Carry out and ensure compliance with the company's due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures;
Review PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening results;
Perform transaction monitoring and analysis, reporting directly to the MLRO;
Carry out risk assessments and research into prospective clients;
Respond in a timely manner to queries from colleagues about compliance with company policies and procedures;
Prepare documentation in line with the needs of the business.
Client and Account Support
Assist the Account Manager with communication with corporate clients;
Support daily account management activities;
Answer customer queries in a courteous, professional and timely manner;
Act as a point of contact for clients on compliance-related requests, such as onboarding documentation and information requests.
🎓 Requirements:
Minimum one year of hands-on experience in a compliance role, ideally in financial services, payments or fintech;
Practical experience of KYC / customer due diligence and AML procedures, including onboarding and risk assessment of corporate clients;
Experience reviewing PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening results and escalating findings;
Experience in transaction monitoring and preparing analysis reports for an MLRO or compliance lead;
Analytical and logical thinking with strong attention to detail;
Ability to work collaboratively within and across functions;
Executive-level communication and presentation skills;
Good organisational skills;
Fluent English and Russian (written and spoken).
⭐ Nice to Have:
Prior experience in e-commerce and electronic payments (a significant advantage);
Proficiency in MS Office applications; advanced Excel is a plus.
🤝 Key Competencies:
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail;
Excellent communication and client relationship skills;
Strong organisational and time management skills;
Ability to collaborate across compliance and account management teams;
Proactive, responsible and service-oriented approach.
✨ The Employer offers:
A varied role spanning compliance and client relationships;
An interesting and prospective job within an international business, working closely with colleagues in Europe and other parts of the world;
Friendly team and enjoyable working environment;
The opportunity to grow within a fast-moving payments business.
If you have hands-on compliance experience and enjoy working directly with corporate clients, this role offers an opportunity to develop your skills across both compliance and account management.
