• Are you a compliance professional who enjoys understanding new regulations, turning requirements into practical actions, and working with international stakeholders?
• We are looking for a Compliance Associate – Financial services, Regulatory Compliance in Budapest to join our client, a global & market-leading financial information and analytics company.
• In this role, you will work alongside experienced compliance professionals on regulatory monitoring, compliance assessments, documentation and implementation activities, gaining valuable exposure to the rapidly developing area of ESG and European regulatory compliance.

What you will do

• Support ongoing compliance work, including monitoring and helping incorporate new UK and ESMA requirements into the firm's compliance framework
• Support compliance reviews, assessments and monitoring activities.
• Respond to employee questions on policies and procedures (acting as a point of contact alongside the compliance team)
• Maintain documentation and records to support audit/regulatory review readiness
• Assist with tracking regulatory deadlines and framework updates

What will help you succeed

• 2–3 years of experience in relevant compliance, regulatory or a closely related field (e.g. audit).
• Experience in financial services, financial information or another regulated environment is an advantage.
• Interest in UK/ESMA and ESG exposure ideal but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - English
• Ability to follow up effectively across different departments and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels
• Detail-oriented, comfortable with documentation and process work
• Ability to work independently on the assignment

Relevant knowledge / experience is a plus:

• Compliance Audit / Testing • Surveillance • Financial Services management • Investments managment
• Interest in or experienced in ESG / sustainability regulatory concepts a plus, but not essential
• Hungarian language skills are welcome, but not essential.
