Compliance Coordinator - USA Your Responsibilities Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/Tank Container Operator, with locations in 24 countries and over 3300 employees is seeking a Compliance Coordinator. This is a position based in Mexico that will primarily support the U.S. team. What You’ll Do Provides administrative support by assisting in developing, maintaining and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the Company’s Compliance Program. Assists Compliance Team to administer all processes and procedures and ensure working within regulation framework in order to minimize risk. Handles daily monitoring of files/transactions handled by the various operations departments to ensure that the compliance policies are being adhered to. Communicates with operation staff and provides policy details when errors are discovered. Reports the same to the Compliance Team so that necessary actions can be taken. Creates and maintains reports for the Compliance Team documenting the results of the compliance policies monitoring. Logs, schedules, maintains and coordinates all internal audit activities including preparing reports and documentation to maintain an organized internal audit process. Assists with the creation of regulatory, compliance and company policy training modules. Logs, schedules, maintains and coordinates all internal training sessions as well as maintaining training records and requirements. Coordinates the training of new employees and continued training as needed thereafter. Maintains all training materials and prepares and distributes all training materials as required. Accesses government websites in order to obtain/download compliance related information/ documentation pertaining to subcontractors who must be vetted and monitored and then present the same to the Compliance Team. Maintains the compliance records ensuring that all expiring documentation is addressed and all respective parties (i.e. staff members or vendors) are contacted in due time in order to obtain current records. Reviews and revises the Compliance Program in collaboration with the Compliance Team in response to changing needs of the organization. Your Profile What You Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. English Language Intermediate to advanced level with strong verbal communication, written communication, and listening comprehension skills. 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and logistics systems. Demonstrates attention to detail. Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations. Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and work in a fast paced environment with a strong sense for accuracy and detail.
