About the role

The GelBottle Inc. is on an exciting growth journey, and we're looking for a Compliance Manager to join is on this 12 month Maternity Cover contract and be part of our vibrant, founder-led company. If you're passionate about working in a fast-paced environment and eager to contribute to a diverse portfolio of B2B and B2C brands, this is your chance to make a significant impact!

You'll take the lead on compliance across our growing product portfolio. You’ll take hands-on ownership of day-to-day product compliance across the UK, EU, USA and Canada, working closely with teams across NPD, Design, Marketing and Supply Chain to support smooth and compliant product launches.

Your Role:

  • Take ownership of day-to-day product compliance across the UK, EU, USA and Canada.

  • Manage Product Information Files, safety assessments, product notifications and registrations.

  • Review formulations, ingredients, INCI lists and product specifications to ensure global compliance.

  • Be a key point of contact for suppliers, laboratories, Responsible Persons and external specialists.

  • Manage compliance requirements for new products, reformulations, supplier changes and product updates.

  • Review packaging, artwork, labelling, product descriptions and marketing claims, making sure the right substantiation is in place.

  • Partner with NPD, Design, Marketing and Supply Chain to spot compliance requirements early and keep launches moving.

  • Manage QC risk assessments, change controls, complaint investigations and CAPA, escalating higher-risk issues when needed.

  • Keep on top of regulatory developments across key markets and turn changes into clear, practical actions.

  • Maintain accurate compliance records and provide clear guidance and training to teams across the business.

About you:

You’re an experienced cosmetics compliance professional who’s confident taking ownership and getting stuck into the detail. You’ll be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, working closely with different teams and turning regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance. You’re organised, commercially minded and know when to make the call yourself and when something needs escalating.

You will have:

  • Experience within cosmetics regulatory, product compliance or quality.

  • Strong working knowledge of UK and EU cosmetics regulations, including PIFs, notifications, ingredients, claims and artwork.

  • Confident managing compliance activity independently, with good judgement around when to escalate higher-risk or complex issues.

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple products, launches and deadlines.

  • Great at building relationships and working cross-functionally with teams such as NPD, Design, Marketing and Supply Chain.

  • Excellent attention to detail, without losing sight of commercial priorities and launch timelines.

  • Experience within professional beauty, nail, cosmetics or personal care would be a big plus.

  • Exposure to international markets, complaints, CAPA, quality systems or supplier quality would also be beneficial.

  • A relevant scientific, regulatory, quality or technical qualification is desirable, but not essential.
