Compliance Partnership Manager
xpateEvery partner we onboard opens a door: to a new market, a new capability, a new way for our clients to move money. Getting through that door means proving, in detail and at speed, that xpate is a partner worth having.
And no two doors look the same. One week it's an ICT provider where DORA sets the terms. The next, it's an AI tool that needs a proper look under the EU AI Act. Then a safeguarding bank with its own long list of questions. Each partner speaks a different regulatory language, and you'll need to be fluent in all of them, or at least quick to learn.
That's this role. You own how xpate shows up to its partners on compliance: the framework behind it, the paperwork that carries it, and the conversations that get it over the line.
Your role at xpate:
- Own and maintain the partner compliance framework across a mixed partner base, from ICT providers to AI vendors to banking partners, and keep it aligned with our risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Lead onboarding hands-on, both xpate onto partner platforms and our clients onto partners.
- Collect, prepare and submit onboarding documentation, questionnaires, procedures and compliance materials.
- Be the main point of contact for compliance conversations with partners: RFIs, follow-up questions, periodic reviews and ongoing requests.
- Work across business, risk and legal to keep onboarding and ongoing partner processes moving.
- Spot where partner requirements and our internal processes don't line up, and propose something that works.
- Track progress, timelines and dependencies so launches land when they're supposed to.
- Build, improve and document how partner onboarding and compliance work as we scale.
We’re ready to meet you, if…
- 2+ years in compliance, onboarding, partnerships or risk within payments, fintech, banking or another regulated environment.
- Confidence with compliance documentation: AML/KYC frameworks, policies and procedures, due diligence questionnaires, regulatory requirements.
- The ability to run several onboardings at once without losing the thread on any of them.
- Comfort switching between very different regulatory contexts, sometimes in the same day.
- Writing that's precise enough for a partner's compliance officer and plain enough for a colleague in sales.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Structure. You're the one who builds the tracker, not the one asking where it is.
- Onboarding experience with acquirers, PSPs, banking partners or card schemes.
- Familiarity with EU/UK frameworks such as EMI, PSD2, AMLD, DORA and the EU AI Act, and with safeguarding requirements.
- A process you wrote that's still in use after you moved on.
What working at xpate looks like:
- High level of ownership and real impact on processes and decision-making.
- Strong corporate culture with a collaborative and professional team.
- Competitive compensation and an attractive employee benefits package.
- Health insurance to support your well-being.
- Educational bonus to support your professional development and continuous learning.
