What You'll Do
Provide Trusted Regulatory Guidance
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide practical compliance advice.
- Interpret legislation, regulations, licence conditions, directives, and regulatory guidance.
- Translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable business solutions.
- Support new products, customer journeys, business initiatives, and regulatory projects.
Stay Ahead of Regulatory Change
- Monitor emerging legislation and regulatory developments.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes on products, processes, systems, and controls.
- Maintain regulatory change registers and action plans.
- Deliver concise updates and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Support Financial Services Licensing
- Assist with the maintenance of licences and regulatory registrations.
- Coordinate regulatory submissions, renewals, and reporting obligations.
- Support Key Individuals and representatives in meeting regulatory requirements.
- Engage with regulators and assist with regulatory requests and enquiries.
Strengthen Governance and Controls
- Draft and review policies, frameworks, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and testing activities.
- Identify compliance risks, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
- Track remediation actions and support business stakeholders in closing gaps.
Build a Strong Compliance Culture
- Act as a trusted advisor while maintaining independent compliance judgement.
- Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Risk, Product, Operations, and Compliance teams.
- Promote practical, risk-based compliance principles throughout the business.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 3–5 years' experience in financial services compliance, regulatory advisory, legal interpretation, or a related field.
- Experience supporting regulated financial services businesses.
- Exposure to compliance monitoring, regulatory change, policy governance, or assurance activities.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Relevant qualification in Compliance, Law, Risk, Finance, or a related field.
- Compliance certifications and FSCA Regulatory Examinations will be advantageous.
Knowledge & Expertise
- Strong understanding of FAIS/FSP requirements and financial services regulation.
- Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory guidance.
- Understanding of compliance monitoring, policy governance, and regulatory reporting.
