About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Compliance Support Specialist to join our Payments team.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing support and operations role that involves communicating with customers throughout the day, reviewing documentation, verifying information, and completing routine compliance-related tasks.
If you enjoy helping customers, are comfortable with repetitive, detail-oriented work, and take pride in getting things right, this could be a great fit.
While this position supports our Risk and Compliance team, it is not a traditional financial compliance analyst or regulatory strategy role. The day-to-day work is primarily focused on customer communication, account verification, documentation review, and following established processes.
This position reports to the Director of Compliance & Risk Management.
What You'll Be Doing
- Communicate with customers throughout the day to gather information, answer questions, resolve issues, and assist with compliance-related requirements.
- Review customer applications, account information, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with onboarding new customers and conducting routine reviews of existing accounts.
- Follow established procedures to verify customer identities and business information (KYC/KYB).
- Monitor accounts and transactions for potential issues, escalating concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain accurate records, update customer information, and document completed reviews.
- Follow up with customers to obtain missing information or resolve documentation issues.
- Complete daily administrative and compliance tasks accurately and within established timelines.
- Work closely with Customer Support, Payments Operations, and Compliance to resolve customer issues.
- Identify opportunities to make routine processes more efficient.
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, payment operations, or a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills and comfort communicating with customers throughout the workday.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes consistently.
- Patience and organization when handling repetitive, high-volume tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Comfortable working with computer systems, reviewing documentation, and learning new software.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate questions or concerns.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience in payments, banking operations, fintech, or financial services.
- Familiarity with customer verification, KYC/KYB, or fraud prevention processes.
- Previous experience reviewing customer accounts or processing applications.
Additional Requirements
- Access to a cellphone or personal device capable of receiving multi-factor authentication (MFA) texts or calls.
- Reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps.
What to Expect
This is an hourly, customer-facing operational support position with a strong emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and customer communication.
Much of your day will involve working directly with customers, reviewing account information, following up on documentation, and completing recurring tasks.
The right person for this role enjoys structured work, is highly dependable, and finds satisfaction in helping customers while keeping processes running smoothly.
